The fuel price is 😱 Yep. When you're in the middle of nowhere, you gotta get what is there. Our Nissan Patrol is a fuel eater. I love bondocking. It's so peaceful out there. Thank you for another awesome episode. It looks like you guys had a lot of fun with the red hat 😅. Oh, I do not miss the flies at all hahaha

We got fuel in Billiluna en route to Alice Springs returning from the Kimberley in 2016 and it was $2.65c per litre then and the most expensive fuel for the whole trip. Given the huge jump in fuel costs since then, $3.30 doesn't sound too bad! You got caught by the lunchtime closure too!

If its the same place im thinking of - camp on a hill top with 360 degree views near the WA border - its ashame you didnt camp there, its probably my 2nd favourite site in all of Aus.

Can you time stamp or tell us the date at the start of each episode ? It’s handy to know what the tracks are like at the time instead of weeks or months later. Driftas live daily updates from the CSR were excellent. A lot are doing it now.

Love the suspension but if you're going to be around the 3.7-8 mark with weight go the 700KG constant 5 leaf pack and possibly the new 3950 gvm

Hey mate, best bet would be to google the distance and figure it out based on your own fuel usage :)

At what point did we "over dramatise" it? It was easy mate, but there was some large washouts from a water event. Hit them at 90KPH you'll know about

@@OverlandTravellers My advice would be instead to not hit them at 90km/h. If you're aware that a water event has recently been through on any track, drive at a speed suitable to conditions, ease off early and take on obstacles like washouts at a sensible speed. Sure it takes longer to get from A to B, but your vehicle will appreciate it, as will your fuel consumption. And also your passengers. And the beers. Eggs too. All good reasons to drive in a calmer manner. It's all about the journey after all, right? As much as it is the destination? Anyway, I get around in a battered old LN106, so as far as speed goes I've not a lot of choice going for me - it's always going to be slow. Very slow. I do like your vehicle - it's a lovely rig.
