Badger 1 in a zillion! Kayla QUEEN of Ideas and repurposing. It's so sweet even if badger doesnt want 1 more project he listens and hears kaylas ideas and hopes. MOST often he will do her wants. Kayla goes "Can you do it?" Badger replies" Of COURSE!! Alotta guys would say that and not be able to EVER do what she envisioned , BUT Badger CERTAINLY CAN 100%++++ NO PROBLEMO!!😉😅😁

I forgot to say, in one of our older houses I put down cork tiles on the family bathroom floor. We then sealed it all around the bath, toilet base etc so nothing could get through then varnished it every evening for 3 nights in a row, giving it the full night to dry before applying the next coat. It was the best flooring ever and definitely warm underfoot.

Love the sink solution with the slate and bowl. Cork floring is great I have used it in my kitchen years ago and even as window sill.

Do the ceiling like you're looking through tree leaves into the sky. And painting the walls in light earthy tones will give it that feel she wanted as she takes her relaxing bath. OR you could build your wife an outdoor enclosure bathhouse that can be opened at the top to view the sky as she soaks in a bubble bath.

I love waking up on Sunday morning as I know I’ll get to see you guys…and tell my hubby I need to first watch my friends and see what they’ve been up to 😊. Nice that your mom and Craig arrived to give you a hand in the garden. Can’t wait to see what they’ll be up to there while you are finishing the bathroom and bedrooms. It looks great. Badger really has a talent for building anything really. I had never seen that tool he used to cut the pipes and it was interesting. Love the sink idea. It will look beautiful. I know I’m always suggesting things lol make a big circle in the slate and lower the bowl into it. That way you can raise up the slate lower the bowl down into it and the children will be able to reach in better also.

Yay guys! LOVE the ideas for the basin (not sink haha, I had no idea the difference either). Also, Badger... your idea of a little window to look out of from the bath is such a great one! Love your channel! I don’t think window should be lower. You have children that might be or grow uncomfortable with low windows in their bathroom. My daughter has always been really funny about that. I love the idea of the barn conversion. It should really lower the family stress of your stone house build and the pressure to rush.

I first started out in plumbing 57 years ago, ever since then I’ve been trying to educate people, to say that the sink belongs in the kitchen and a basin, sometimes a pedestal basin,sometimes a vanity basin, belong in the bathroom,thank you Badger for reinforcing that, now let’s tell the rest of the world 🌍 Thank you both, for the great videos, oh and also Badger, just brilliant to you using copper, copper is king 🤴 👍

How amazing is this basin! I am a bit jealous. I designed a similar tiny bathroom in my former tiny house and ended with a stunning hand carved wooden bowl. But my carpenter, wo said he could do the plumbing parts as well, had a hard time. Cutting through your ceramic bowl made me hold my breath! Well done Badger! Cheers from Ireland!

Looks like the bathroom is coming along. Know y’all are excited about that. The tub looks like it would be so relaxing. I’m jealous. 🙂On restoration shows I’ve watched, they often talk about the older tubs being extremely heavy on a floor once you add water and a person. It might need a bit of extra bracing. I suppose it depends on how long it will be there. Pudding was so cute with his paws game🥰

Oh Badger...please listen to the pleadings of your dear wife with this bathroom build! She's exactly like me... desperate for a lovely, relaxing bath after years - WITH A VIEW!!!!!! The window needs to be lowered so she can lie in her bath, relax after a hard, crazy day and enjoy her surroundings! Not looking at the roof!! 🥴🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Don’t worry about painting the bath ( life’s too short ) just give it a good clean, dab over the black bits with a white exterior metal paint, if you are re -enamelling it so many harmful chemicals will be released into the atmosphere, I would personally just double it with a bit of Tippex .

Amazing progress again this week. The slate splash back will be far better fit on the left hand side wall, and long term you will regret not insulating the underneath of the bath, it's been so long you will have forgotten how irritating it is having a cold back during a nice long soak
