you're spot on, the G36 is not in a good place, it seems like they wanted to do some interesting ideas to differentiate it but it's been released too soon.

having used the G36 for 6 years during my service time, im very disappointed in how slugish the gun feels IRL is a Lightweight rifle with a lightwheight barrel (this is where the accuraccy rumour comes from) yet ingame a Scar which is more bulkey and depending on the build heavier, feels faster to ads than the G36. this just shows that BSG never got to shoot the G36 IRL The G36'S Ergo Stats make NO sense.

To be fair the g36 irl is such a good gun real life as in lightweight, smooth recoil impulse, ergonomic, that you really cant equate it into the game cos itd be too good, but agreed, it should feel very different than it currently does

If I’m right , BSG puts hands on every weapon that is in game. There was a video somewhere of Nikita saying some weapons couldn’t be added because of how hard they were to get hands on with. They need to have them in hand to be able to 3d model and such, at least that’s what I’m under the impression of.

The Scar-L is so good because it has the lowest dispersion hidden stat, which is by far the most significant hidden modifier. The MDR did well because it has strong auto recoil compensation. Still not a huge fan of how impactful these hidden modifiers are. Maybe if attachments changed how some of these stats work it would be cool. Such as barrel length and foregrips would make sense.

Honestly, it's an awful value proposition given other options. Do I still use it? Yes. Do I wish BSG would actually balance the game and make the recoil system something that actually makes sense? Also Yes.

MOA should worsen significantly the longer you hold down the trigger, after the first 10 or so rounds, but overall recoil should be reduced by at least 50% across the board on all weapons. This would encourage firing in controlled bursts most of the time; and making full auto effective at close ranges, but bad at long ranges. This can be done without jacking up the recoil to absurd levels.

I wish they would change missions like Peacekeeping Mission to just allow us to use all 5.56 guns (excluding AK101 / AK102), so there are reasons to use guns that aren't ideal just for questing when you happen to have something in stash for the right calibre that aren't ideal.

the G36 is clearly lacking right now, but I have no doubt that given time it will find a place - Let's not forget that in 12.12, the SCAR-L was arguably the worst 5.56 gun being just straight up worse than the MDR. It seems like BSG has a bit of a trend now of introducing new guns and then giving some time before adjusting them. Thinking of the UMP and Scars as guns that were subpar and made to be cheaper or better, and the Vectors and Mutant (and hopefully soon the RD-704) as being too good and too cheap before being made worse and/or trader quest+rep locked and much more expensive.

@@6G15U You don't need any of that to pick up a replica and know INSTANTLY that the ergonomics are better than a FAL... they literally gave the G36 a horrific ergo stat for no reason. It's a lightweight, ergonomic, modern rifle-- not some twelve foot long 14 pound musket.

I feel like I was bit ahead of the time curve back in 2020 running Ghzell and MDR as my go to loadout (no fuss, good overall performance, high mobility and speed plus it was cheap AF back then). And I still love MDR for its low fuss good performance thing and seems like my beloved Ghzell gained some popularity as well lately.

So I personally own a g36 and an extremely modded m4 with a 16 inch barrel. G36 has a 16 inch barrel as well and I honestly would say the g36 is more ergonomic in the sense of aiming down the sight. The m4 I have is kinda chunky and slow to aim compared to the g36. Also to note my g36 is stock standard with no modifications to it beside the fact that I took the rails off of the handguard. Yes the m16/m4 platform has better ergonomics in terms of reloading and handling but I dont thing they are actually that far apart in ergo. I think Battlestate did this to test the power of the g36 before they actually give it good ergonomics. If it was really OP as it is right now, then it would have been a big mistake to give it better ergonomics.

The G-36 is not great, but it hardly gets taken out of a raid because of it, so at least insurance is worth it. Otherwise, I just love how it sounds compared to the rest of the 5.56 rifles.

Remove the mag and it drops in size... fold it and its even smaller. A G36C with a suppressor folded and with the mag removed is a 1x3... why not take the whole rifle instead of attachments separate? Food for thought... just don't take mine now that you know. =]

I love it as a budget gun. Long G36 is cheap on the flea and if you can’t handle the recoil try burst fire, up to 50m or so you can land 2-3 shots if you aim center mass and normally drop someone in a burst or two. It was my go to rogue farming gun with M856A1. Accurate, cheap and decent up close plus burst saves ammo. I’ve wiped squads with it in burst. Don’t knock it til you try it. For super budget you can use the default optic and slap a micro red dot on top. I always used the Saker suppressor but now it’s a bit pricey. I’ve used it way too much this wipe and it’s never really let me down but I also have 3k hours, trained IRL with burst fire weapons and someone new to the game might struggle (pls don’t use M855)

@@drunkpunk5393 try to kill reshala for decent 5.56 ammo. Lots of quests give 995. Otherwise use 7.62 PS or LPS IMO. 855 will get you killed unless you’re really confident in your head, eyes aim. You can craft A1 as well from the workbench.

When doing videos like this, you should also make sure to provide your skill stats, as soft skills affect the recoil of weapons as well.

The scavs are turning bullet proof, 8 shots to the face and they fire once with their gun pointing to the air or ground and head eyes me! It's in offline mode as much as in online, the AI is very broken... I don't think I'm the only person that is having the same problem.

Its not at all useless. It kills real well and if you use it for more than 2 raids you become really effective with it. Its not as good as the Scar-L, MDR, or AK-101 but its better than the M4 and HK

@@leviticus1132 It's not useless (almost no guns in EFT are), but this video proves the meta build for the G36 is the same as a somewhat modded M4, if not worse. Lower fire rate with pretty much the same recoil, much worse ergo, and about the same price means the M4 is a better gun.

Don't forget that they recently buffed the heck out of 5.56 ammo in general, and reduced the recoil of all 5.56 by like 15% or something recently.

I use the G36K with the fer frans compensator and CQR grip, and the short one with the meta suppressor and the ergo foregrip. I know it's not very good this wipe but i like running it, and those are the two builds that work for me.

The G36 is the cheapest one to mod out for mid tier gameplay because of the sell prices for the stock attachments. G36C style build with reflex, grip and suppressor totals about 110Kish. Got me my TWENTY raid win streak

Also the G36 takes up no space when the mag is removed and folded... makes it easy to pocket. The G36C with a suppressor is a 1x3 folded. Don't forget about that burst fire!

IDK i used the short barrel version with ll2 attch and it lasted me 2 raids. across 3 pmc kills and some scavs. i treated it like a UMP. i mag dumped anything i seen and pushed pretty hard. and i suck at pvp. i died after a hard and close fight at skelly and his duo mopped me up as i was healing. the mdr is a fav of mine however for 556. scar is a close second and m4 i cant seem to manage unless on single shot. havent given the ak a chance. appreciate your awesome vid and explanation my meng!

8-10 meters is too close, you barely see a difference with any weapons in the game, 15 - 20 meters is more reallistic, you don't need the best guns when you can't miss a single bullet you know what I mean ?

You're just measuring angles: as long as you're far back enough for the bullets not to overlap so you can see different impact positions, it doesn't matter how far back you go.

Gun is fun. Idc about min maxing. As long as the g36 you build is under 60-65 recoil your fine. I built one for 58 recoil and 39 ergo.

The first shot recoil just looks goofy for all these guns. 5.56 is just not powerful enough to jump like that, especially with a foregrip.

been having a lot of fun with the g36c. they definitely should of went with the XM8 series. giving that it's not directly the same timeline as ours, it's entirely possible that the XM8 could of won the Bid back in the early 2000s.

@@majora919 it passed everything except the price test. Most Units that did field tests loved them. And Malaysia might not be a good example, but their Navy special unit started using them in 2010 and seem to love em as well. The g36 was made lighter and more ergonomic, but the internal parts in the xm8 were far superior and more rugged. Designed for rough conditions. The g36 was more designed for urban combat.

i don't understand why the ergo is so high, the gun is extremely lightly built and has a very low recoil. maybe BSG just doesn't like german guns? HK416 is not very good either in the game, although it is one of the best on the market so far i know

Try out the G36C loud version it has 54erg and 59 recoil, it costs around 120k without scope+lights

Weird that the G3's ergo is so low. I'm not an expert but isn't it mostly or all lightweight polymer/plastic? I'd imagine it should be pretty light and easier to handle than ARs with mostly metal parts

I hope they add in a g36c down the line and make it a .300 blackout that could be a viable gun. The g36 on the other hand is not good as the M4 and Hk just do it better.

Is it wrong to say Russian bias that the AKs run a little too well compare to a lot of guns, like not the best but a lot of them just do it really well compared to other counterparts of the same caliber

i can't wait for them to add a nerve/stress system. It's real hard to hold a rifle steady when your hands are shaking or you're bleeding. Gunfights, historically, are super stressful and it'll make a lot of these guns feel less accurate and piss off the chaddy people who think they can just wreck with level 6 armor.

The russian bias towards guns is kinda annoying. A good, suppressed ak-101 can have over 50 ergonomics and weigh in at 5.6kg. A gun that weighs over 12 pounds shouldn't be so nimble, that shit weighs more than a loaded g3 and that gun has a reputation for being a boat anchor of a firearm. And now with the ammo changes the bias has been more than blatant.
