I've seen one on a par with this one but maybe not so dark; was about 20 years ago when my grandma was in hospital and had a stent inserted near her heart to treat angina, I believe it was called angioplasty. Had a balloon inserted into a blood vessel in her groin and once in position it was inflated to open up the vessel in question and the stent placed to hold it there. This meant a lot of blood leaking under her skin round her hip and down her thigh, never seen anything like it, although was only around 14 at the time. She said she actually felt bruised as well because the nurse had to really press hard to stop it bleeding afterwards. Worked a treat though, she never had a problem with her heart again; she died in 2014 aged 82 due to COPD having been a smoker most of her life. Still miss her and always will!
