The documentary never mentions it, but did anyone else notice how well spoken and well read Carol's husband was in regards to US law, bureaucracy and how to manipulate the system with that knowledge? At times, Howard seemed more like Carol's lawyer than her husband. Given what we know about Carol's marital history, the partnership with Howard seems more to do with asset calculation than love.

Her zoo was really different. It was a no pet zoo, she didn't allow breeding and most of the cats lived in pretty "wild" cages. The only reason why they were in cages was because they were born in cages and they could not be released in the wild. Sure, she started by being a breeder but what really counts is what she became in the end. Unlike Joe who started loving animals and became into a dipshit. She grew out of that became a conservationist. She has a lot to answer for but her sincerity about big cat conservation isnt one of them

@Your Nan Dude. That's not true. Her site is huge. She's accredited by everyone except by the road side zoo people. Think about it, we don't see anybody except them talk about her camp site. See Google maps and see how large her property is. People brushing past the fact that like she always keeps saying, she exists only because people lik Joe Exotic exist. I honestly think what happened is that she tried to be like the other 2, was not successful at it, and changed course. Which allowed her to keep cats around, but without having to try and compete against a flashier business model. When you think about it, even Kevin Richardson, who runs the sanctuary in South Africa, is basically keeping that sanctuary so that he gets to interact with his cats and make a living out of it. Once they are gone, since he doesn't breed, he could very well let that sanctuary disappear, since no one in his family wants to take over it. Someone who works at FBE participated in their "adults react" video this week, and he says that when he volunteered there, everything seemed above board except that at one point, they began using the smaller spaces for feeding, when it seemed to him that the previous system had worked just fine.

The reason Carol will never get done and got away is she got her brother involved a sheriff who then knew getting another sheriff involved covers his back. The weirdest thing is why he brother did not give her a lift and he got another trooper to take her home
