Also back when the Premier League was just the First Division, goalkeeper Tony Macedo became a Fulham legend, making over 250 caps for the team. Why am I saying this? Well he’s called the best English goalkeeper to never play for England, because he couldn’t of one reason: He was born in Gibraltar to British-Gibraltarese parents, making him ineligible somehow. But because the Gibraltar national team didn’t exist yet, he never featured in a national A team. It’s a forgotten Gibraltar legend ngl, I only learned of this a few months back, and I have a special interest in underdog nations so that says a lot 😅

My guy@@sloth021 learns football from KZfaq shorts by John Nellis, HRVizak and Fiago 🤓🤓🤓. "Where there's a talent there's a way". Yeah and I researched about that Zesh Rehman guy after my KZfaq session because I don't wanna have half knowledge. British took him for his talent but they didn't break their rules. They maintained their rule of signing players from nations within 100. And those African nations, you were talking about, they were all within 100 at the time they had players in PL and even now they can thrash the entire Indian Subcontinent in football. And Zesh? Well he was signed as a "English" player. Yes, he is literally a British citizen but of Pakistani ethnicity. He spent his entire childhood and football lessons and training in England. He has played for all of England's Junior teams. Pretty much like Isa Suleiman who won U19 Euro with England team. And after his career in junior football teams (the time when he also played for Fulham in PL), he decided to play for his original nation - Pakistan national team and his contract with Fulham also ended as he took citizenship of Pakistan. Search anywhere but it is the same case as Isa Suleiman. Yeah so I am definitely not surprised if Zesh Rehman was better than our average Indian team players and played in PL because he was a England citizen and learnt the whole thing from there
