Spaghetti feathers, abominable paint and sculpt quality, and literal *exposed ribs* like WHAT IS HAPPENING. Doesn't even look like Papo, doesn't even look real. It feels redundant to bash this figure at this point, but at the same time I feel that it simply cannot be overemphasized just how insane this thing is. And now they're releasing an absolutely bangin' Suchomimus. Pure chaos lords. Never change, Papo.

It boggles my mind that this (and the Protoceratops) is from the same company that gave us that beautiful classic Allosaurus, or like their new upcoming Suchomimus. Yeah different sculptors, but it's like a complete disparity of production quality and sculpt work. Thanks for reviewing this abomination. I'm so glad you took notice of the exposed rib cage too. Those black osteoderms also remind me of those trypophobia trigger images. It's so cursed. That ending too, omg, lol.

It's like the designer went "dinosaurs with feathers can still be scary bro, watch" and then let their 6yo nephew draw what he thinks a conca looks like, chewed up the paper, spat it out and plastered it on a figure

The ribcage feel like they tried to give it belly scales akin to the underside of a snake, but the awful execution just made it look morbid instead.

Schleich legitimately is not creative enough to make this. This figure is so crazy it took genuine artistic vision and effort to make it the way it is lmao.

@@BionicleSaurus I dunno, I've seen some "creatively bad" dinosaurs by Schleich, I mean, just look at their plesiosaurus or their acrocanthosaurus (OH I just remembered their upcoming moros intrepidus)

what in the 65 Seriously though, this is a great review, David. You bash the hell out of this figure, but your points are really insightful. I love your comments on the paint specifically, its something I've noticed before but never really thought about. A 10/10 review for a 0/10 figure.

I didn't saw this neither in my subscription box nor my notification box,so when i saw this video i clicked as fast as possible,but still had to go trough 2 hours of my phone trying to load the video because of my HORRIBLE internet. I havent watched the full video (heck. I think i'm still on the first five seconds) but,good review,David! Ha i got internet and that initial bit was hilarious! As much as I love the humor and criticism in this video. I dont even remotely think this is the worst Dinosaur figure, even that you have reviewed. This figure is hilariously bad, and crazy, and that is endlessly better than being just a poor representation of the animal, and boring. This figure is thrilling! And if I had any less respect for my wallet, then I would buy it lmfao!

I actually have one of the Concavenator action figures from Mattel, and even though it’s not the best representation of the species, at least it doesn’t stand on its tail 20th century style, have a bad pose, unnecessary feathers scattered around it, a lazy paint job, weird osteoderms, or, of course, an exposed rib cage that’s attached to the interior black mold so it just looks like some weird infection. Truly a sculpted disaster.

You raised a good point about Papo's marketing choices: the artistry of Mr. Seo (main dinosaur sculptor for Papo) wasn't absent, as seen with last year's Kronosaurus, Mosasaurus and the two dragons, but it's clear he couldn't work on any other sculpt. The problem is Papo deciding, as a company, to approve this design.
