The only thing in my opinion that needs to be updated is the Political side. Because the Industry side is okay and you get tons of really strong buffs for ships, you can rush Battleship 3s complete with armor really quickly and just obliterate the British and French navies with them. The problem is the literal only thing worth taking in the political side is Triumph in Africa and then the one that gives land and air doctrine research speed if you do Pact of Steel. Other than that there's no reason to go down it. So if they would just rework that I would be fine. Because a lot of the new trees I actually despise, they're way too convoluted and obnoxious. "You need to go Fascist but in order to do that you need to kill the Communists, ignite a civil war against the monarch, build 15 Destroyers and invade Brazil" obviously that's a bit exaggerated but it's not really that far from the truth...

I think the worst part of the Focus Tree for Italy is it's meager attempt at an Alt History path with making a faction of their own with Japan... who starts the game in a faction. And thus will never be available to join that faction. A+ level thinking, Paradox.
