slug hunt was actually killing the series. I love to watch osie and duncan pfaff about but its not more enetertaining then actually playing and learning the game. Not everything is wobbly life

@@Kingpin2456 To be fair, it COULD work just fine. Like, Osie was marking ore deposits as she went. Having an "explore" crew that grabs stuff and maps out everything can work well and still be fun. Especially so if someone is distracted or doesn't feel like grinding out machines right now. You could even argue that those 2 goofing off was keeping the base MORE organized, since they only split their building into 1.5ish bases instead of 2.3-3 bases. (That split power grid is just...uugh.)

Its more understandable that Lewis is more of a hindrance to the group as he wants to milk as much money out of the world and game as possible. Lewis, give it up! 2015 is OVER!!!!

Use CTRL to snap buildings side by side, and also, its so much easier if you lay down foundations and put your machines on top as it all snaps to a grid then.

i love that it's like there's two groups that are talking to each other about different topics but playing at the same time instead of being split off like the jaffa factory. you have lewis and ravs talking karaoke and then duncan and ose come in the middle talking about splitters and iron edit: oh, lewis just mentioned it :p

Odie will be happy to know there's a Customizer on the build gun (default is X) you can use to change colours. You can set specific themes to help you remember what areas are for. Example below. Once they unlock the Awesome Store they have all kinds of customizations they can do!! But rewards come after work I guess 😅 For the curious: I use light red & brown for copper from mining through smelting. Then I change brown to various other neutral colours at different stages or splits. But my copper supply lines and storage always have red of some kind. Similarity, I start with brown & light blue for iron, light yellow for caterium, black for coal, cream for limestone, etc. Color codes with a nice aesthetic 💖

My main rules for karaoke are: If you're sincere, you don't have to be good, but if you're goofing around (e.g. you pick a song but then singing a parody version of it) then you have to be good at it.

The combiner osie made has one of the conveyers backwards and is moving pipes towards the constructor instead of out of it.

Satisfactory is my favorite of all the factory/automation games because it actually has an excellent world to explore, collectibles to find, and monsters to fight. Mist sessions are full factory but plenty sessions were just full adventure. Stop harping on Duncan for enjoying the game "wrong".

2:25 - 'Double' ... ha If you go to Mk III miner it is quadrupled... and you can/should overclock the miner to increase it further.

Duncan Defender moment here: I started playing along side you guys and Duncan was right to rush slugs. They are easy to find and relatively easy to get and they give you the ability to tune the production ratios of your machine. Pumping up screw production to meet plates while making rotors for example. That was infinitely easier to streamline with slugs to make cores.

Agreed. Slug hunt really helps to balance power/resource loads. Once they get to coal, the power cores really help with load balancing and keeping everything efficient.

It's easier but, you can also try to find HDDs to unlock the alternate screw recipe, which is RNG but, it doesn't require much effort. The alternate recipe is so damn nice. Haha.

@@Nevario1 I got totally 'screwed' on those lottery hard drives and wound up with alternate recipe concrete :/
