The Worst Marching Band Ever

I've spent a lot of time discussing the worst marching band fails of all time, but not all "fails" are accidental. The Leland Stanford Junior University Marching Band is easily known as the most controversial band of all time. Often describing itself as "The World's Largest Rock and Roll Band". In this video I discuss a few of the band's most controversial moments.

Hey!! I forgot about you for a bit... glad you’re back! Also my band just got the highest school that our junior band has in at least 14 years... without the person that basically carries the percussion because she had to be at a funeral and a bunch of percussion parts switched around bc of it

I love the band's stunts, and things like it. They usually punch up, not down, and call out nonsense in society.

Or, in my humble opinion, the Best Marching Band ever. The random scramble transition is genius, allowing the LSJUMB to perform more music than other bands.

Yeah it kind of started the idea of a scramble transition in other college bands as a quick way to use charts from other shows in the same one. At FSU if we had a time crunch we could do that and have "new show"

Not an American but I just read about how Standford has essentially destroyed student social life.. The band apparently has been forced to act in line with the new DEI principles that the school's army of administrators subscribe to.. It's a shame, I actually like their controversial style. These days they are no longer sticking it to the man. They are sticking it for the man. RIP.

Stanford? Wasn’t able to isolate the moment when the band was identified, but i learned about them a click before this. So, this clever joke of theirs, I assume, has been going on forever? It becomes foolish and irritating after the first go.
