Ah yes.....the great Beyblade Metal Fury tragedy of 2012. A truly dark time to be a MFB fan outside of Japan. These beys are hollower than my empty soul. And while we would eventually get most of these beys with their original gimmicks, some beys like Beat Lynx and Duo Uranus would be lost to the aether never to leave Asia. Very sadge. Though amazingly, as awfully neutered the 4D beys got, we did at least still got Beys like Screw Lyra which had amazing parts for the time, and we still got plenty of re-releases of older beys that made them even more accessible. Plus, some of the nerfed beys were still at the very least good against other Hasbro stuff. And we'd eventually get the Synchrome System in its mostly original form to close out the Metal Saga. The Metal Fury line might have been the worst Metal Series line, but at the very least, there were still some redeeming qualities, which is more than I can say for the later seasons of Burst......*shudder*

I remember getting a Hyperblade Phantom Orion. I still have that fusion wheel and energy ring. Same with L Drago Destructor. Good times

I remember the first time I saw the metal fury beys from hasbro back in middle school. My friend came up to me and said he got Scythe Kronos and Fang Leone, and he showed them to me. When he said these were the two aforementioned beys, I honestly just looked at him and said “No they’re not.” I was pretty baffled to say the least.

Then burst happened and it was the same thing all over again, but this time hasbro's going to have a harder time getting that redemption arc.

Hasbro's adaption on 4D Beyblades are mostly nerfed versions of TT's not only they don't have the 4D system that is only on Hyperblades, but many of it recolors it's an unpleasure for the eyes, with exception of Cosmic Pegasus F:D And hasbro still do something like that until today with Burst, i'm afraid what they gonna do to the 4th Generation beys 💀

I own the spark effects Diablo Nemesis 4D. I like to think of it as God of Hope nemesis instead of the God of destruction because of its contrasting colors to the original

I don't care if Hasbro have a mistake during the Metal saga generation but they have a better quality and sequence over the burst due to how the beyblades are providing some good quality and accurate anime or Takara tomy counterparts.

Beyblade changed so much. I still remember those days when you can change blades. To something so heavy duty it can totally annihilate another blade.

And they're going to have a huge Redemption Ark once Beyblade X hits the West pretty soon

It truly is a crime, we waited for sooo long to get them, and they were so weak ! Meanwhile a year later we got the Hyperblades impossible to find, recolored and impossible to beat (lynx). Hasbro lost my faith at this time and never got it back.

Beyblade wasn't too much of a scene anymore in my circle when metal fury aired so I only got one bey of that season: jade Jupiter. Being the most changed Hasbro version of all 4D Beys, including a super hollow metal wheel which was like half the mass of the original, and only a ridiculous 125B base, i was super frustrated and disappointed as a child

they fucked up in Spark because the 4D system is actually really cool. I have a Takara Cygnus Kreis and it's the best blade I have.

As a kid, I somehow convinced my mom to always let me buy my Beys off Amazon during the Metal Explosion days and beyond, so I exclusively got the Takara Tomy beys. After 4D got a Hasbro release, I thanked my mom.

And then came the Legends Hyperblades

Hasbro even did the same to the burst series but WORST they really nerfed it so bad the first burst and evolution was not too bad but after turbo they went off rail some beyblade lost the gimmick/ability and not even have the original parts like Takara Tomy Hasbro really falling off rn only the pro series and stadiums are saving them

I have some 4D beys sparx nerfed, in the beggining i hated them, but now i appreciate them in their own way, of course his Tamara Tomy's counterparts are Far better, but different beys are cool to a collection and battles, but i would hate them If hasbro beber released the real 4D beys.

The sparkfx Beyblades weren't the problem, the Sparkfx ones were just recolors of the "Metal Fury" ones. Sparkfx was actually metal fury's saving grace because for a while it was the only way to get the proper 4d beyblades from American retailers. unaltered in unique smaller packaging than the other metal fury beyblades. The video pretty much says this but the opener is inaccurate, it's the "Metal Fury" beyblades that were the worst lmao. The ONLY saving grace to the alterations Hasbro made with metal fury is the fact they actually upgraded prototype Nemesis into an actually customizable Beyblade rather than just a dummy Beyblade to be used in a magnetic gimmick stadium. Sucks they ONLY did that with it's upper portion and just gave it gravity perseus/destroyer's lower half instead of it's neat height change base, but hey, that's just how things go sometimes.

Metal fury actually made me quit haha I was ranked 13 in the world in the WBO using only hasbro so fury was the end for me
