A lot of people complaining bout not knowing nearly anything from Dianthea before we fight her; but tell me what is the probability to meet the champ of your region at the very beginning of your journey, talk to him regularly and make friends with him before you actually get to fight him ? The fact you know little about the champ, and that he doesn't have much interest in you before you go fight him makes it more realistic to me. (Thats just my opinion).

Actually Sir, you are absolutely right. Cynthia is that which constantly shows up but does nothing, atleast Lance, Steve & Leon are heavily involved in the Stories Section. We also learn more about their character from the main story part. Even I have a theory that, When Red gave up the title of Champion to Lance. Lance never felt worthy of that title, so that's why he went to its native Region Johto, trained with her sister Clair & completed GYM challenges and became Champion making himself worthy for Title of Champion.

To be honest, I was hoping someone would say this for a while. This video may have been satirical, but you are right about Cynthia’s lack of personality. I know the same could be said about other champions, but everyone else has talked about that to death, and everyone agrees- but coming after Cynthia feels like a double standard with the reactions. I do agree though that if Cynthia is bad then Diantha is worse.

I'm so sick to death of her constantly being shoehorned into the games, anime and getting all the good shit in Pokémon Masters. She's so insanely simped for by fans and the devs/writers themselves. Because she's "sexy", has an encounter theme that invokes 'Nam-levels of PTSD into the unprepared, always shows up when Legendaries are involved because she's apparently an archeologist (despite *NOT* looking the part), has the overrated Garchomp as her ace, gets shown what she looked like as a kid in the anime, and is one of the most difficult trainers in the series. For crying out loud, I just wish they would take an underrated Champion like Diantha and make her into a formidable post-game battle instead of always bringing back Cynthia.

I know that this is bait and shouldn't be taken serious anyway, but still I want to point out that Diantha is even worse in both first categories. The only and really only thing you know is that she is an actress. Thats it, even Cynthia has a bit more personality. She doesn't do anything at all in the story, at least Cynthia gives you an HM, an egg and travels to a dangerous place with a ten year old that shouldn't go alone in there. Diantha does quite literally nothing at all. I still like Diantha, but she is definitely worse than Cynthia by a fair margin

While Cynthia and Volo have (essentially) the same team, Cynthia’s ace is Garachomp (a Dragon/Ground type), while Volo’s is Togekiss (a Fairy/Flying type), the exact opposite. Also, Cynthia apparently convinced Volo’s team they weren’t strong enough and gave them items. Instead of cheating by using 8 Pokémon.

Most of her fans are just simps lusting after her, Gen Fourers unable to let go of their nostalgia glasses for their first DS Pokemon game and a whole lot of people that chose the fire monkey then got a surprised pikachu face when it lost to a ground dragon because everyone that played Gen 4 either didn't know how Pokemon worked or forgot how it worked.

N is my favorite champion, as technically, he is a champion briefly in Black and White Mainly because he isn't boring, unlike 95% of pokemon characters.

Honestly, probably the worst champion in the series is Diantha of X & Y. Like she has 7 lines and no discernable personality outside of her being an actress. But let's look at the other options. 1. Blue/Your Rival in all the Kanto games. I've never played a Kanto game so I'm not that reliable, but Blue is very iconic and reappears a lot outside of his original game. And he at least has some personality that distinguishes him apart. Trace... I never played let's go but he just seemed like a nice guy. Not that interesting. But he shows up a lot at least. 2. Lance who shows up to kick Rocket butt with you in the Johto games plus he was an elite four member before. 3. Steven/Walace who are both pretty prominent characters throughout the Hoenn games and who help you through things 4. Cynthia who is notoriously difficult and shows up a lot. And just to put it here: You can't really fault just cynthia for not helping in these situations. It happens in every game for the most part aside from SS, and that made the plot boring. Plus, I'm guessing she wouldve battled cyrus herself but he came at the MC first. 5. Alder even tho technically hes defeated b4 you fight him but he was a Champion through most of the game, and he made a fair few good quotes. 6. N who is a prominent antagonist and overall a unique character (plus he uses a LEGENDARY) 7. Iris who was a gym leader in BW and shows up a fair bit in both BW and B2W2. 8. Kukui/Hop, tho technically not champions themselves they are the champion battles, and who are very prominent characters 10. Leon who pops up more than the primary professor of the region, which is bizarre. And is constantly brought up. If Cynthia is bad, Diantha is just far far worse.
