Honestly having a fixed cast and not have random guests each week is what is making this show shine for me. We get to know and love the group, we came for cgb sure, but each person brings something unique to it. Way more fun to watch than the random "influencer tables" with no chemistry between them. Keep it up guys !!!

the insurrection stealing and end step trigger doesnt work, since the turn ends they still go back to owners, it doesnt work like sneak attack and ending the turn

@@batcow5148to be fair it is a confusing card buttttt.... the (until end of turn) rule is printed right on the card haha idk how you miss that and say "this is the worst" when it doesnt work at all you are just playing the 8 mana spell haha

Insurrection and Obeka don’t work like that. If you read Obeka it says explicitly that”until end of turn” effects finish, not that they don’t resolve. Compare this to thasa which does do this by blinking things back under your control, thereby ending the “until end of turn effect.”

@@zachjohnson3871 Insurrection doesn't have an effect that gets put on the stack at the end of turn. Insurrection is worded as an "until end of turn" effect. If the creatures have been stolen it's not on the stack, it's just in play. Obeka has reminder text printed on the card that specifically states that "until end of turn" effects end. The same text is also on Sundial of the Infinite, which also doesn't combo with Insurrection.

Yup exactly, it's used for countering triggers (with the end of turn exiling the stack) not for lengthening end of turn effects

Yeah I was stoked to see an Obeka deck and then immediately bummed when its “worse thing it can do to you” combo was one that doesn’t work.

I don't want to annoy anyone, or start a fight, but you can't just say the end result would have been the same. If you hadn't dealt the 40 damage unrightfully, Shea would have been in the game for at least 1-2 more turns and we all know how quickly simic can escalate and turn things around. Also the others would have had a better boardstate to defend themselves. This wasn't a minor misplay, it impacted the game seriously

Great content as always but I don't feel like the game ended correctly Blake stole the glacial chasm but the attacks for lethal when he can't attack if he controls glacial chasm.

Also the flayed of the hatebound misplay was super unfortunate, the creatures entered from exile not graveyard, obviously this impacted the game like crazy

Flayer of the Hatebound actually gets no triggers as played because all those creatures come in from exile after Living Death.

Death triggers Teysa with angels, Conspiracy and Pyre of Heroes for the jank. Momir Vig that is secretly a silly, silly Experiment Kraj deck that tries to go infinite with activated abilities (it also secretly is a Kinnan deck, because, well, Kinnan is a stupid card). I was going to suggest Kess storm, but that definitely is a long turns deck.

Blake couldn't of won the turn everyone thought he did. Glacial Chasm prevents your creatures from attacking. The best he could of done was wait for his next turn and not pay the upkeep.

No comments about this yet so thought it's definitely worth clearing up.... There's a rules misunderstanding about how Obeka works: she does NOT get around returning creatures when stolen with Treason effects. Because it's "until end of turn", Obeka doesn't affect it, because she "ends the turn". She's only able to cheat things like that which say "at the beginning of the next end step" or similar effects, which is a trigger. "Until end of turn" is a turn-based action that occurs as part of the clean-up step, it's not a trigger that can be responded to.

Blake couldn't have attacked if he took control of Glacial Chasm, at least on that turn. CGB might as well have scooped though. This is giving me flashbacks to my Shard of Alara EDH days where my friend loved to play Sedris and do this kind of stuff every game.

Very excited for this. I have never enjoyed paper content and I've never liked Commander when I've played it, but the personalities in this show, as well as the way its shot and edited, have quickly made it my favourite CGB content. Great stuff!

Hummmm I feel a few things went a bit sideways there. I don't think the flayer would have gone off because they all entered from exile, not the grave. And then at the end CGB should have gotten an extra turn cuz Blake got the chasm and couldn't attack. But still a solid game! :p

Cool thing to know about Okebka, she doesnt work with Insurrection because it says until end of turn and obeka still ends the turn. Obeka only works with cards that say at your next end step or at the beginning of your end step

Oh oh, that’s not how obeka works. Every card that states “until end of turn” doesn’t work with Obeka. The Turn still ends thus OP will get his creature back or whatever. Only cards that put a trigger on the stack work, for example when the Card states “sacrifice it on the beginning of your next endstep. You can then tap obeka to exile the stack and ending the turn.

Blake, I'm recommending you play Greven, Predator Captain. Lots of fun cards like: Wall of Blood & Essence Harvest, Chandra's Ignition & Tainted Strike, Kediss, and Emberclaw Familiar & Hatred with some lifelink. Just make sure to pack plenty of ways to gain life for cheap, creature stealing, and haste.

CGB's Elk'd commander would still deal commander damage. "Commander" is a property of the card and cannot be altered or removed in anyway.

Does jukai visionary's 1st ability count as playing your land for turn? Or are you able to cast and return him multiple times to play multiple lands on one turn?
