Been running multiclass only for 2 years now (prototypes mainly) and I'm still amazed at the lack of patience people have. Sitting back for a few seconds saves minutes of repairs but people still have trouble grasping that.

The thing I don’t understand is, do these people not feel bad when they punt someone out of the race? When I screw up and someone else gets involved in it, I feel so bad for screwing their race. Seems like it’s not the same for some people

Hugo was an actual weapon in that session! I did one IMSA at CTMP and my race was ended much the same as yours. GTP's just not giving any room or showing any patience when overtaking the GT3's. We really do need the ability to protest bad driving, the current options don't really cover it when you have drivers like this that just ruin others races.

I think the protest and punishment system has changed where a lot of those incidents were protestable and would be considered for action.

8:25 that's me in the Acura and yeah it was pretty bad. I've been driving prototypes since 2018 and I can tell the standards have been going down. I feel like earlier in the days we understood better that traffic takes and gives time and that was just how Multiclass worked. Nowadays nobody wants to lose time and we don't help each other which results in incidents like this.

the driving standards in that IMSA race were horrific... glad you got the complete opposite in the Spa race, those last 2 laps with Daniel were some of the best racing I've seen in a while.

I feel like there needs to be a revamp of how SR and iR are applied in light of the popularity of IMSA and other multiclass series. there is just zero respect from the GTP drivers for the GT drivers. Something like needing to gain a certain amount of SR or iR as a GT driver before you can drive GTPs? As it stands, the license system is sort of a joke really. You get your A license and really never have to worry about SR again. Also is it just me or is the black and gold Porsche livery the new Red Bull livery? Every person in that car is an absolute menace.

This have been the IMSA experience so far after driving a full season in 23S4 with the GT3s. GTPs/LMPs dont pay any respect for you and they just send it no matter what. I dont remember this being so bad in 23S2 when I raced with the LMP2 and I really hope the new reporting system does a thing actually to ban this drivers, because even if its not any intentional, they are ruining somebody else races, is no more about iRating/SR, is the time you are investing to race with the fear of somebody else ending your race, something that you cant control. Its a boring and terrible experience for a great simulator as iRacing and we should not make it the "standard" experience.

I'm really surprised there wasn't more arguing in this race. Absolutely shocking driving by the prototypes. Hugo needs to get banned for all the carnage he's caused. I raced in the LMP2 I think a few seasons ago and it was totally fine. I wonder why it's gotten so bad.

In mixed races the GTP cars always take stupid chances and make lousy risky passes. I hate running with them.

Its so different when you're in cockpit view and the closing speeds of the faster cars is by so much, not making excuses, but its always a recipe for disaster on a small track, i wonder how many times they have to overtake a slower class car in a 3 hour endurance race, your not going to slow for every car until you think its 100% safe to over take

Maybe you still remember the IMSA Sebring last season when you did the exact same thing. Accident ahead and you didn't even lift a centimeter of the throttle. While people continue to try to take advantage of accidents instead of be careful, this will continue to happen.

That black porsche with silver stripes on the cockpit kill almost any gt3 car... On that incident with 7/8 cars involved at the double right turn, he doesn't have any hesitation, never on the brakes.... This people need a ban or something for few weeks. As gt3 driver with 5.9k i always look at the mirror but with this people even if you keep attention they send you to the moon. A lot of crashed are caused by the dimension of the car that they can't manage. Impossible spaces where to pass or late move on the braking... With you ollie they forget where their bumper start on the car🙄🙄

There are a lot of incidents I've encountered with cars being turned back onto the track to end their wreck with an encore. The 8 car in that massive incident looks like they are just choosing not to control the car and so carnage is drawn out.

I did the top split Saturday morning race, my first IMSA endurance in the LMP2. I didn’t have the same experience, mine was quite good apart from a spun GTP not holding brakes and coming across the exit at the hairpin. All other passing was good and patient on my end. I can’t speak for the rest of the field though. Was good fun!

Like trying to force a gap that's not really there is bad enough but the amount of prototypes just straight driving into the back of other cars here is absolutely unreal. Speaking as a GTP driver some people have no business getting within a mile of these cars

This is one of the reason I quit iRacing. To resolve this issue iR has to take serious measures, like ban reckless drivers from racing for 1-2 weeks, make front ends of faster cars more vulnerable to contacts, also make drivers of LMPs loose more safety ratings index after such actions.

It was absolutely horrendous, I was in this same session LMP2 car 707, I'm glad I didn't appear in one of your replays .. BTW, have you seen my Twitter msg to you about this session? I was wondering if you could help me with a replay file of lap 20-30. I had a weird spontaneous slowdown for cutting the course, which I didn't do. In order for iRacing support to investigate this, they need the rpy file but I forgot to save it on my side :(

The same car every time!! That Huge Preto/Prato hit you twice! What the hell! Thats absolutely appalling! Not to mention the rest of them! Like a banger car race! 🤯 its crazy how they’ll still be racing on the platform! 99% of these need bans or their iRacing resetting maybe even both!!!

i get that its not good, but we dont want to gatekeep the racing community by banning them (in some cases there would be no one left lol), thire issue is there in a car that is to fast for there skill level no matter the irating they have, i guessing they hot lap and due to getting a fast time in hotlapping they think they are good, we all know multiclass on a small track the faster class u will be off line alot and they dont know how to deal with that at all as they just hotlap and this tends to be the end result, maybe bans on a series or a car dont think that will be possible but i dont like the Ban hammer unless its full on they rammed someone intentoanl, we have all had bad races where we make mistakes more than one sometimes and you dont want to be banned for that,

@@Demps151 If they do it once ok yh but if they end up being a serial offender then they should be banned from that series entirely or just removed from the service if they do it in multiple series. We are all paying for this service. If banning one person stops a few people from unsubbing, i'm all for permanently banning people. People who do stuff like this may end up causing people to unsubscribe. Would you rather remove one person from the service so everyone else who pays can enjoy it or only ban them from a series for a period of time while they may end up causing carnage in other series which may then cause other people in other series to unsubscribe and so on and so on Iracing may be a service but they are still a business and if removing one person will help protect the integrity of the service and keep everyone else happy then so be it

@trainyUK98 Yeah i 100% agree if they do it over and over again multiple races and diffrent series they yes 100% they should be banned, but we have to look at it as a single race that guy he may have just got the car or never raced it there before and yes thats bad in its own way to jump into a race and cause issues but lets face it no one is perfect we have all had really bad races that have effected others in bad ways, so if this was just that one really bad race for them then maybe a series ban for a week or so but nothing permant, u have to be careful what u wish for, as you may have that one bad race where u wasnt on it got in the way hit a few people all non intentional and then thats it your banned, no one is perfect and if they say they are well thats just a lie, but yea i agree with you on the terms of if he dose it all the time in multiple races and series,

Lots of netcode unfortunately. I also wish there was a proper FCY system in place. It would really help set the flow of the race without it being an all out sprint/brawl to the finish.

Hey, Matt here. I too was at Mosport and my god the driving standards here were a disaster. I was killed 3 times during this race (one I kinda caused myself) and the 2 were caused by Hypercars getting far too close in the corners. I cannot fathom what some of these guys were thinking when they drive like they're invincible. I love iracing, but this is ridiculous now.

Yep, one of the worst races I’ve taken part in. I was killed twice by impatient GTP’s trying to force a move that just wasn’t on. I had damage from lap 4/5 that I carried for 90 ish laps!! Was still psychotically fun sort of🤣

Looking at the replays again I have to wonder if the GTP drivers have figured out a way to move/punt slower cars with minimal damage to themselves and/or the excuse of "netcode". I say this because looking at the incidents the GTPs seem to be aiming for the same spot on the slower car and using the same corner of their car with same result to the slower car. Maybe something to watch over the next coupla races BUT hopefully I'm just being a cynical old man!

I had a lot of fun last week with GTP on this track. I drove a couple of sprint races and one endurance. I fucked up only 1 by my one and one by other driver. So that was ok and that track. This week IMSA is at Hockenheim and oh boy… this is more interesting 🤣🤣🤣

I had a safety rating of 4.3 at the start of last week now its 1.3 due to other driver errors. I can understand we all make mistakes but most of them are other drivers not caring about other drivers.

I get it that racing happens but for a SUBSCRIPTION game - they REALLY need to have better stewarding. Sending in a report 30 minutes AFTER the race and hoping is complete bullshit for a PAID SERVICE.

The worst thing about this is every single one who caused multi car incidents got away unscathed meanwhile everyone who gets collected pays the price for their ineptitude and inability to lift or to give more than a millimetre of space while overtaking. Zero patience. It always seems to be the LMP's too, expecting everyone to give way despite their responsibility to overtake safely.

they really need to have some Gran turismo style license test to do imsa racing , because a lot of this is straight avoidable contact and people not realizing that gt3s aren't prototypes with insane downforce.

I don't get why more GTP drivers don't make an effort to account for lag. Like maybe just try driving slightly not as close so that the little bit signal travelling across the globe has some sort of leeway for inaccuracy? Jesus christ man
