This is so disappointing… I hope that you hold the seller accountable, this was negligence on their part. I’d argue this is animal abuse on the sellers part.

OMW, that packaging is terrible. I am sorry about the geckos. I had a guy tell me he'd give me an extra gecko free if I bought 3 instead of only the 2 I asked for. I bought the 3 and am still waiting for the 'free' gecko😂. He said he forgot

Jeez thats rough luck. Reptile shipping seems like it is far from being perfected. Tons of shipping mistakes, learned that from Goherping.

Its just people to dumb or lazy to do it right. Youll never catch us pulling shit like this. If its not safe for the animal it doesnt ship.

I've never had a bad shipment I'm in Canada so does get colder breeders won't ship when it's cold and they still include heat pads always been packed really well the animals have always been healthy on arrival never did I've had snakes and lizards come through it depends on the person who's doing the shipping and the company

Sorry to hear your geckos passed. I have a yellow headed male dwarf gecko and I did not know they couldn't climb glass. I got mine from my local petstore. Named him Kimori.

Greedy people suck! I bought a $1300 lily white this year that was advertised as 24 g, I made the seller confirm. When it showed up it was only 14g and he told me he sent the wrong gecko, even tho it was clearly the gecko pictured. When I asked for a discount he said "you already got a $2000 gecko for 1300 and you still crying, but you can ship him back for a full refund". Then the seller gave me a bad review on MM bcuz I called him out on his lies. I kept the gecko bcuz I didn't want to get scammed and I don't ship geckos.

I am crying while you’re doing the unboxing, this is not okay. The seller completely fucked you over. They used a manipulation tactic to bide time (offering a free gecko) and ultimately dropped the ball every step of the way. I hope you announce who the seller is so that the community knows to avoid them, I would never purchase from this seller.

Ordered over $100 in feeder bugs for my beardie from Backwater Reptiles. Received part of the order (the cheapest part) in a box they were crawling out of and over half were dead. The bugs also reeked so bad I had to rinse them in a strainer and store them in the garage. The return address on the box was not from Backwater Reptiles so I'm guessing it was a drop shipment. I put in a refund request through my payment source (PayPal) because I never received the bugs that cost $80 and what I did receive was half dead. Backwater said they would refund if I canceled my claim in PayPal. I wasn't comfortable doing that because they were already coming across sketchy and if I did that I could not reopen the claim. It was denied by PayPal in the end because they had a tracking number from the seller that showed as delivered. No appeal option and never heard back from Backwater about the alleged offer to refund. Don't do it.

I recently ordered a tokay gecko and it came in Tuesday morning and when I opened him up he was dead. Looked like they smashed him. I contacted the breeder and they won’t give me my money back but a 10% discount on a next order
