In the future, can I recommend showing the picture of the skin bigger on the screen? Maybe just record footage of you turning the in game model if you have the skin? Footage from its release trailer, something like that? I don't get the point of only showing a tiny, blurry png in the upper left corner over gameplay footage.

@@mxsayian not every skin, that's an oxymoron, some characters have a skin to represent something from their culture, something a person from that country would understand because overwatch tries to be diverse like that, then some white guy says "looks like shit" well bro it was made from a folklore element to represent a group of people that are supposed to be that character's ethnicity/background, the LifeWeaver Phi Ta Khon is a good example of that, anyone from Thailand knows what it represents, it's understanding why it was made, people should at least research and see how close to the real life element a skin is before calling it shitty, education is your friend 🤷🏽‍♂️

i get why people dislike visual kei but hearing "everyone wants a goth mommy but thats not how you do it" hurt me LOL!! visual kei isnt goth or meant to be, its actually its own fashion style originating in japan and if you base the skin off what the actual visual kei fashion style looks like rather than comparing it to western goth or egirls its pretty cool ^^

The Cassidy vigilante one is based on the Dick Tracy character from the old comics which is why it's that particular yellow. I actually really like it for the reference.

I'm noticing a trend with chinese-tradition skins being the least favourite, like Ba Jie (which is pronounced ba j-yeah, its a maincharacter from journey to the west), Empress, Wujing (another journey to the west main character), Guan Yu (historic chinese military general}, Wukong (journey to the west maincharacter), Sanzang (the 4th main character in journey to the west), etc

@@ajax4492 Well, it's the viewers picks, but I think a lot of it is just 1. the basis of these skins being almost completely unknown to a western audience, and 2. them either not fitting the character or just not looking very good. Ba Jie is one of my favorite roadhog skins because the more lifelike pig mask gives me leatherface vibes almost, but I can imagine a lot of people hate it for that same reason. Sinophobia could also play a part, but I really think that a lot of it is unfamiliarity and the designs of the skins themselves.

Honestly surprised that Ana’s Tal skin got placed as the worst. In OW1, it looked pretty bad, but in OW2, it looks great.

Journey to the West is a Chinese classic story about the monkey king Wu Kong (Winston skin), Ba Jie (Roadhog skin), Wu Jin (Reinhardt), and San Zang (Zenyatta). All of these skins got voted worst skins, respectively. lol sad that there are a lot of Asian culture skins on the list.

the Ba Jie hog skin is one of my favourites but I find the Asian culture skins are usually disliked by the community. it's really sad because they're very unique and extra. I love that Brig skin. They're always so detailed. Goes for Holi Sym too. One of my favourite skins and I can't fathom that people dislike it, its so culturally cool. I disagree with so much of the votes here

@@blueluigi1183 YESSSSSS, Opera and Holi are some of my favourites, simply due to the cultural references and the insane detail. The holi skin also had symmetra's hair laid back and slick, which I adore, as it somehow goes against her built up visor, and makes her seem more chill, like she's enjoying holi, even though its literally the anti-thesis to her control and organise ideology.

Immediately I gotta disagree with Tal, it’s my favorite Ana skin I love the colors and the mask it’s such a fun skin. I also love the Junkertown themed DVA skins, because I adore the put together scrapyard sort of aesthetic, which is why Junkertown is one of my favorite maps.

So many of these kinds are actually sick IMO, Anas Tal is goated Genji’s bird one is dope Brigs Tre Kronor is fine Kirkos hinotori is good Genjis skeleton is sick, not ugly at all??! Mcree’s magistrae is unique and clean Ashes tiger huntress is gas, TIGER BOB!?! Sym has way worse skins than holi and cobra queen. So disappointing 😞

Just a small criticism about the video. When showing the pictures of the skins, I would make it much more bigger and center it. I watched like a quarter of this video on my tv and even had a hard time seeing what you were talking about. Again this isn’t hate or anything, but the main content of the video is the skins you’re talking about and not the gameplay. Anyways, love the channel, just thought this might help and would love to see the progress!

Personally, I kind of like the Hinotori Kiriko skin. At first I disliked it because the actual skin itself just looks bad. Eventually, it ended up growing on me though especially because you hardly ever see the third person view and the weapon skins are (in my opinion) some of the better Kiriko weapon skins. I will say though there is hardly any highlight intros that look good with the Hinotori skin due to the color scheme of the skin. Aside from that it is fine though.

like you even said in the video regarding the sym skin, a lot of these skins are paying homage to the characters culture or to other cultures. such as hog’s toa skin, paying respect to his (likely) māori lineage. the same go for karasu-tengu and dai-tengu for genji and hanzo. both are yōkai. i just dont get why so many people dont like them

rip dragoon....it's actually one of my favorites cause I like the green, the first person POV, and the aesthetic. It's different from a lot of Mercy's other skins and when you play a lot of Mercy that's nice. The only thing that's meh about it is the helmet...they probably should have done no helmet or given her a full mask, instead of the weird inbetween

For Orbital being derpy. The helmet is designed in a way for a head to look up in it. So okay, makes sense, you would have no neck joint for angling up or down (but would keep it left/right), and you look up in the helmet... Then they have it have a joint in the neck, and make it so it's impossible to look up through the roof of the helmet, also, no tinted cover to help reduce the amount of light coming in. Like in practice, it makes it so you would have a glare on the inside of your helmet, for no extra visibility.

No, the Mei legendary Christmas skin is not a basic Christmas skin. If I know well, it’s her only skin with which her shift ability looks completely different. Instead of being the basic ice block, it’s a snowman. Or maybe an iceman tho, since it’s made out of ice.

Raijin Ashe was one of the least favorite skin? Lol? The lore behind Dva's junk skins is she used to do fights with her meka in junkertown. Hammond did this too and that is why he also has junk skins. I am surprised Dragoon Mercy was not the least favorite skin for her. Orbital and Security Chief are my absolute favorite Pharah skins I only use and I find it funny how they were voted as the least best, lol. Hog's Toa skin is a cultural dress that pays homage to his polynesian/kiwi/maori heritage. I was so surprised Sym's Holi skin was her least favorite, because I always see Sym mains wanting that skin.

personally my favorite Symmetra skins are art deco and... get this... peacock. What, an epic?! yeah I dunno I just love that the coloring manages to actually look like velvet.

Orbital Pharah is super cool imo. She gets an Astronaut helmet in-game, which completes the astro cap for those who dislike it. Also fits the character a lot since she flies. Also, Horizon is my fav Wrecking Ball skin. I think the astro cap and suit looks cute on Hammond.

14:12 actually i'm pretty sure security chief was exclusive to the legendary edition of overwatch, or preorder. so for how mid of a skin it is, the fact that you had to get legendary edition for it makes it hated.

Junkfood junkrat is a great skin. I wear it sometimes just for the memes, same goes with the clown skin cause it just fits junkrat

If you do a vote in the future, I'd use an approval vote system so people can vote whether they like, dislike, or are indifferent about it. Also, Construction Ramattra goes way harder than it needs to, and I'm totally not biased because I own construction jackets despite not being a construction worker...

Just CC feedback. Great video you put in a ton of work with the google submissions, but the framerate was kinda icky in some of the gameplay moments. I'd prefer a lower graphics quality than lower framerate.

Visual Kai is a purple skin, so it looks amazing for the fact that its purple

The yellow Cassidy skin is an homage skin to Dick Tracy. It was a pretty damn good comic. Basically Batman without the costume. Just his yellow detective outfit. Oh, the comic also came out a few years before Batman.
