Жыл бұрынYou know I'm a lip girlie but lip oils might be my favourite! I think I've tried almost every lip oil on the market. What takes the cake every time is Haus Labs! It has a great formula that's not sticky, it last pretty long throughout the day, but I always reapply! It also has a slight tint depending on which shade you pick up, and I love the chubby applicator.

@@lisasmith8484 a lip oil is never gonna be extremely pigmented, it's not supposed to be. but it's also not supposed to be invisible. the Haus labs one showed up and looked gorgeous, if you want more pigment a lip oil isn't gonna give you better results, you should spring for a gloss instead.

It's not supposed to be pigmented 😂😂 Just a slight tint. What I love is the shine and hydration that it gives. My lips look more hydrated and juicier lol

For lip oils personally, this is the best. For other products like cream bronzers, I feel like there is more than one! I think that's why it's a little trickier!

You can tell the second one has more color and shine. It doesn’t match the color in the bottle because most lip oils don’t.

The second one gave her a tint, which is what a lip oil usually does unless it’s clear (obv) but the first gave her nothing and it should’ve given her a bit of color since it wasn’t supposed to be clear but that’s what showed up

Not just you, only thing going for the second is that it was very dark. And still very very light. If she had picked the same color oil on both brands and showed a difference, then I would agree. But no they’re both what they are, oils 🤷🏻♀️

I have a question.. would it have made a difference if you swiped both shades equally? I’m just curious bc the first lip oil you only applied one layer and the Haus Labs you swiped multiple times. That first lip oil color looked stunning so I’m just wondering if the number of coats make a difference.

You need to watch it again, closely. She swiped multiple times to the bottom lip, dipped and swiped multiple times for the top lip. For both oils. One could say even less for HL since it got cut off.

@@ramzishaw7440nope, her review was honestly innacurate and shitted on an otherwise great product. the shade slick geleé is quite literally advertised as a sheer wash of color that blooms in over time, meaning you have to wait- its one of those ph reactant lip oils, but with a unique base color.

Merit and haus labs are literally the same, Haus has little more pigment because of the shade , but makes no sense that you don’t like merit and love haus. Lip oils are supposed to be sheer❤

I think the amount of shine was diff, haus was way more shiny but I do think that the applicator of each product might be the reason for that ( how much the applicator can carry and apply to the lips, the haus one was way more hugging to the lips)

@@ramzishaw7440the thing is, merit's shade slick geleé has blooming pigments, meaning its one of those ph reactant lip oils, except with a unique base color. what this means is that you gotta wait for the color to show up, which is.. not what she did.

the merit doesnt seem like it does much at first, but from what ive noticed, with repeated use your lips do get softer and feel hydrated

The best tinted lip oil has definitely got to be the ones from Nooni! Its a Korean brand and it literally stains your lips so beautifully and SO nourishing!!

I think merit has two different lip oils, one that’s sheer and one that’s tinted. I have the tinted shade in Sangria and it’s literally my favorite! It’s smooth, moisturizing, and it gives me a deep, wine color with great pigment.

This applies for everything though. We all don’t like and dislike the same things. Just because something works for one person, doesn’t mean it’s gonna work for the next. You just go and watch certain people you want to get recommendations from. That’s all. If you think she fools individuals that’s on you staying and watching. I didnt see her add a link or anything to fool anyone. She gets nothing from recommending one over the other.

Crystal Kerstal I think you may have read deeper into this comment than you should have… I’m 100% sure when the original commenter said “don’t let her fool you” they didn’t mean the creator of the video was being deceitful or something… a lot of viewers value beauty influencers opinions so they’re encouraging people who are reading the comments to maybe give it a try for themselves because as you said, what works for one may not work for the other. Because clearly the commenter had a good experience with the oil, as well as hundreds of others based on reviews online and they gave their feedback as well. So the “that’s on you staying and watching” is unnecessary and completely changed the tone of your comment…

@@crystalkerstal let’s also not be fooled, when you watch reviews on a product you never tried and the person is saying something bad, you are going to be compelled to believe that the product is bad (especially on expensive makeup) so why bother spending the money? I Just wanted to say that I’ve always loved your positive energy and just figured you probably choose to review products that you know you’ll like rather than ones that from experience , you could tell wouldn’t be good for you or suit you . I hope all this nastiness blows over because you really should be free to test makeup out without having to have a political policy in place … I really wish to god all the people on yt and tik tok ect would stalk the hell out of politicians and massive companies behind serious human rights violations instead of seeking out makeup gurus and skincare enthusiasts to bully . I have Haus Labs makeup! My aunt has a friend who does makeup for Hollywood actresses and she gave me some for Christmas this year! I got some from her last year too and I was thrilled when I learned that it was Lady Gaga brand 😂😊

I love the merit one! it’s such a cute subtle lip oil, and for me it does give lots of color as someone with not so pale lips. I haven’t tried houselabs but from what i’m seeing, that shade looks pretty dark in the tube but not so pigmented on the lips. It seems to me that the houselabs lip oil has less pigment because you used a pretty light shade of the merit and it look almost more pigmented then the houselabs!

If you haven’t already tried, I think you should check out the Roen liquid lip balms. Totally different texture and formula, but they are so underrated that they need way more love online.

Lip oil is not supposed to give you pigment. But instead, it'll give you nourishment and moisture, with slight tint.

Where I live Sephora doesn’t carry haus lab so if you want a replacement the Clarins lip oils is so good I’d say it’s better and the shades aren’t too far from each other I definitely recommend

I love Haus Labs lip oil, it's absolutely amazing, my favorite Beauty product so far, I love the shine, the hydration and I have fair skin, red hair and freckles and I can rock this with nothing else on at all and the stain is perfect.

Yes and yes! Also some of the Merit ones bleed and the color doesn’t stay. I also own all the Haus Labs ones!

I do have all the Gaia labs but it did give the same color as the merit… at least on screen. I do like the NYX fat oil they definitely have more color in it so those are my new favs❤❤❤ By the way …… you are looking FABULOUS lady❤❤❤

I’ve been wanting to try Haus Labs lip oils since they’ve released! Finances haven’t been good this year so hopefully they even out soon. I’ve heard nothing but good things about their lip oil.

to be honest I like the 1st one more because there is more even application of pigment as compare to the 2nd brand... I prefer that over slight pigment so for me it was a win

Excuse me..I have a merit lip oil and it’s so pigmented! You just have to wait a few minutes before the color really shows! And, if u wait for it to dry, it kinda becomes a lip stain and it treats your lips and they become so soft!❤
