Many of the "Modern" 3D printers will include some lights into the design and this gives additional value to the machine. As I work through the redesign project of M-Print-X, one thing I wanted to do was use LED lights on this printer. It seemed like a simple addition to the printer, but without having a designated output on the board for lights, that would mean I had to examine a few ways to do this. One method was to see if we could use the marlin firmware code #define USE_CONTROLLER_FAN to see if this could control lights rather than a fan. Did it work?
