For my Birthday weekend I decided to take a trip to Puerto Rico, I stayed in the beautiful Wyndham Grand Rio Mar located in the Rio Grande area of Puerto Rico. Does anyone know if Rio Mar hotel guests are allowed into the Margaritaville swim-up bar pool? Or is that pool restricted to just guests of the Margaritaville resort? I can't get a clear answer from the hotel staff - one person said we can't use it but another said we could. And the Rio Mar website includes it as one of the 3 pools available to use. I'm assuming that if it's restricted there would have to be people checking room keys or bracelets or something. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks in advance.

This is the same resort and hotel that I was at when I was visiting Puerto Rico lol. Small world. Very beautiful place. I loved hearing the coquis at night. 🐸

Also look up “Culebra” and “Crash Boat Beach” and “Gilligan’s Island” and “Vieques” all are amazing spots in Puerto Rico crystal clear water people don’t know about them

Great video I plan to stay at this hotel to spend a day or two in El Yungue but I also want to be close to Old San Juan.. so would you suggest me doing Old San Juan on a day trip or booking a second Hotel closer to old San Juan?

Either or could work they are not that far from each other. There will be pre things to do in San Juan as this area is a little deserted imo

Thanks for watching , it is a little ways as it’s on the other side of the island. The hotel is not all inclusive but you can pay for packages.

I wouldn’t say walking distance , definitely recommend renting a car or Uber .

Un resort muy bonito y todo, pero no tiene nada incluido,nisiquiera el desayuno. Para agregar el meal plan que incluyes bebidas y comida tienes que pagar US700+ tax per night. Es decir que una estadía de 5 días pagarías más de US3000. Creo que no vale la pena. Con eso te vas a la república Dominicana a punta cana a un hotel 5 estrellas todo incluido y se disfruta más.

Do you know roughly the price of drinks/food options at this resort? Looking for a place to book a honeymoon and this spot looks amazing but I can't find anything on food or beverage prices, thanks!

The information is on their site I believe it was pretty expensive your better off buying bottles from a local liquor store and keeping it in your room in my option. Food will obviously be cheaper outside of the resort as well but if money is not an issue the food isn’t bad.

Not, is not all inclusive, they have meal plan. And is around usd 700+ tax is better go to punta cana in the dominican republic.almost all the resort are all inclusive.

Beach is not private but secluded. There are no private beaches in Puerto Rico. So anyone can go to any beach.
