It still puzzles me to this day why we never got a movie or season 10 with the characters John and Monica as the main focus instead of Mulder and Scully for a change , I thought they were a very interesting pairing 😀

I agree, I totally shipped them, and still do even now. Can't believe Monica went to work with Cigarette Smoking man. Doggett and Reyes were clearly meant for each other

I loved the two of these interesting characters starting to pursue a life together. I always thought the writers should have shown a scene of the two of them in their bedroom with Monica’s arm across John’s chest showing a wedding ring.
