Same price? PS5 controller is $70 and using low quality components so it breaks faster and needs to be replaced more often. Switch controller is $80 a pair and has similar problems.

The only problem isn't the lack of features, but the price tag. It's literally the sane price if s ps5 controller but has half the features. Built in mic, haptic feedback, gyroscope, etc. People that are saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" i agree with. What i don't agree with is the 60 dollar price tag when a 70 dollar ps5 controller has double the features.

Nintendo is so innovative, they made limited life spans a feature of their controller.

Can confirm gyro aim is so good I bought a controller that allows you to use it in any game reguardless of support. I managed to play a game of csgo with it mg1 and top frag. Gyro aim is that tiny bit of fine control you're missing compaired to a mouse.

I have a wired 360 controler that I use to play PC games. It's over 10 years old and still works flawlessly. Never had to mess with batteries, never had any problem with drifting, it's very confortable to hold and it has all the buttons I need to play any game, old and new.

Still waiting for gyro, haptic feedback, and adaptive keys for my keyboard...

Gyro aim is amazing. Personally I would love to see a Steam Controller 2. But Gyro-aim in an Xbox-controller would be a step in the right direction. At least it uses AA-batteries, which is a good thing! I just use rechargable AA's, and then I can easily swap out the batteries if they ever go bad.

Xbox controller is my favorite to use on my computer, just love how clicky the D-pad is for fighting games, Playstastion has always felt more sticky to me.

gyro aim could be implemented into all games so easily if it was just natively supported by x input. and reading through these comments shows me just how many people haven't watched nerrel's gyro control videos.

The only problem with the xbox controller is the lack of gyro aim, gyro aim is great, you can literally have mouse aim with a controller and it would remove the aim assist debate and actually make controller players hsve skill to aim

It’s because the button layout and design are already perfect, you don’t need fancy shit in it when it already works more than well.

The second may seem so trivial, but really, that can hold back time for development and testing. Third-party devs are given the dev kits to take advantage of the rumble and sense features from the get-go, but they CHOOSE not to because of how the time may not be worth as the demographics don’t really point towards a crowd that prioritizes wanting to feel their game. It’s also why VR is so niche.

Adaptive feedback on ps5 is legit a must.

Microsoft found a formula that worked when they made the second revision of the original Xbox controller. Compared to Sony and Nintendo, Microsoft continues to release a controller that's both ergonomic and affordable while still adding improvements to the design.

Adaptive triggers would be a game changer for vr, slap one if those on a controler with 5 buttons for grip and you can have pseudo haptics

Xbox controllers have had the best ergonomics since the 360 era, they don't need gimmicks. I started using xbox one controller as my TV remote instead of the remote that's how comfortable they are too use.

I miss the fully colored Xbox buttons, it really makes it stand out from the Switch

Frankly, as a game developer, I am perfectly satisfied with the amount of options I have with an xbox controller. With each damn gimmick a company decides to release, there needs to be work done on game engine compatabillity. It's a pain in the ass, and frankly its much better for the industry that there is at least SOMETHING that remains standardized.

Rdr2 and death stranding made me realize the 2 things that are holding back games: controls and direction (in the movie sense of direction). Rdr2 good direction, death stranding very poor direction

honestly the only thing I'd ask for on a controller improvement is more buttons. games absolutely will benefit from more buttons, we already have controllers that add like 2 extra (remappable) buttons at minimum, so why not have something like that but with 4 extra buttons.

I have pc but I love to play most of the games using Xbox controller. It's just so convenient and ergonomic.

Also get rid of the batteries and switch to an internal battery that you can just recharge without taking it out.

The Switch Pro-Con has a solid pivot on the D-Pad, cozy joysticks, really nice grip and firm buttons across the board. Alongside excellent battery life. Can only see it being an issue if I want to play racing games or anything similar. The Capture button is nice for a macro. Gyro is good when a game uses it, but as a PC controller, is quite redundant. Though with Steam in particular, and thanks to official controller support, you can manually set it to the mouse and actually have pretty nice aiming. But it is not as reliable as developer supported gyro. The PS5 controller feels a bit large, but is so comfortable for 2D games. It loses the versatility of the grip the PS4 controller had, though. When the haptic triggers are being used, you're in for a good time. The touchpad is excellent on PC when you need macro buttons, but is actually pretty underutilized on the PS5 itself. Options and Create buttons feel like ass and are not satisfying to press, alongside being unusually flimsy for a product worth a good chunk of money. By comparison, the PS4 ones felt way more satisfying and were not nearly as prone to break. Other than that, action buttons feel firm and responsive and the D-Pad is fine. The touchpad easily has the best use of macro buttons I have ever seen, particularly with how much Steam supports it. Should be your go-to launcher for PS5 controller games. Likewise with Switch, gyro is only useful if the game supports it officially. The Xbone controller is so comfortable. If you liked the Switch one already, you're ready for this one with those joysticks. Though they can feel small at times, so caps can help. If not getting new sticks altogether. My only critique with the action buttons is they're all loud, but otherwise comfy to use. The D-Pad is especially loud, but easily the best one of the past two generations. And at least remembers that diagonals are important to be just as easily pressable as the cardinals. Triggers are very nice for racing games and have a nice, smooth travel. The Start and Back buttons are the nicest to press out of the three and the Share button is good for a macro. Lack of gyro isn't a big critique at all when the PC side doesn't care about it very often officially for many games. As said before, Steam has manual integration of it on supported controllers, but this can require a lot of tweaking to meet a good standard per game. But when you do have it, sure, it feels great. Many causals won't care, though. _TL;DR: Switch feels nice, but rough if you love racing games. PS5 is big and has awful Options and Share buttons. Xbone is pretty comfortable and has consistent buttons across the board. All controllers have an additional button for macro, but PS5 has the most. No gyro for the Xbone honestly means nothing in the grand scheme of things._

See, the trick is to have so much fun with the game you're playing, you don't care about what controller you use

I like adaptive trigger s 10x over cut or clicky triggers way more versatile I can press it and reset it because it actually breaks like a real trigger, break feel for racing games it's second to an actual pedal , you can struggle when your character does, feel the pull of a bow , feel the web shoot out and stick .it's simply great

While the advanced rumble and and triggers are nice xbox's just feels the most right. The click and feel of the buttons and triggers just feel perfect imo. Whenever I want to play a game with my controller on pc I use my Xbox controller.

The Xbox Series controllers are the best controllers on the market precisely because rather than sacrificing production value for stupid gimmicks nobody is going to use, they actually just give us good hardware.

I love xbox one and series controllers (they're basically the same), they're really comfortable and I think that's something companies keep forgetting

You play with the PS controller for 3 hours....and you play with the Xbox controller for three hours. Instant different with the amount of stress you hand feels. Plus I agree that PS keeps including features but I will still with go my good old XBOX controller cause it's got nothing wrong with it and hands down the most chill controller ever.

Gyro aim has been such a bjg step for me that my steam deck uses it. I just love it.
