A couple additions/comments: - Nopon speech has different reasons for existing in each of the games lore. In XC1, their speech patterns exist as an honest attempt to mimic Homs speech. Homs/High Entia language was researched until the variation we hear in game was adapted and taught. As such, Nopon who live in Hom/High Entia societies for an extended period of time learn to talk normally. Some Nopon NPCs are descendents of Nopon immigrants in non-Nopon cultures, and they speak complete grammatically correct sentences as a result. In XC2 an end game side quest reveals that Nopon are capable of learning to speak normally, but ancient Nopon started using imprecise sentences to make themselves cuter, thus starting the tradition of speech ticks in Alrest. - Early concept art for L found in the Secret File Art of Mira shows him in a far more demonic/evil form that lives up to his name sake.

I will never forget the betrayal I felt when they got rid of the Ardanian Soldier lines. Unironically one of the top five best parts of Xenoblade 2.

The fact that Shulk's VA actually LISTENED TO THE JAPANESE VOICES in order to understand when and how to yell or emote in the correct moments places him leagues above most voice actors. Also, the expansion for Xenoblade 1 is literally called "Future Connected", it DOES connect with 2 [as the ending of 2 flatout reveals that the ending of both games happen at the exact same time] and quite possibly with 3. Plus, the reason why every Blade, and many core characters, look so different in Xenoblade 2 is because they're ALL designed by completely different people. Even the legendary Tetsuya Nomura designed some.

28:28 actually Egil claims it is the strongest mechon ever built- "controlled by me, Egil". so there's the theory that Ancient Daedala is in fact, not controlled by him, Egil.

16:08 - Mumkhar felt like the Homs betrayed him. According to a Heart-to-Heart and the creators of the game, he was from an unnamed Colony that was destroyed before the Battle of Sword Valley, and essentially the Homs forces were at the time spread too thin and couldn't protect every Colony. So they had to choose one to focus on, which was Colony 6 (since a majority of the Homs population was there at the time). Mumkhar saw this as the Homs turning their backs on him and his people and swore revenge. So Mumkhar already had plans to betray the Homs out of revenge at the battle and take the Monado for himself before the opening cutscene even showed him. According to the devs, he made a deal with the Mechon prior to the battle to deliver the Monado in exchange for them sparing him. But during the Battle of Sword Valley when the fight was starting to go badly for the Mechon, they considered him to have failed, and so turned him into a Face Unit.

I found the xenoblade series because of smash! It wasnt a game i was interested in but my sister was asking for video game recommendations and she played as shulk quite a bit in smash so it was a no brainier. The day she got the game i watched her play it and was thrown off at the british voices, but i quickly grew a custom to it. The characters and the world had so much charm and seeing seeing Reyn hog all the glory in his introductory and seeing dunchad, sorry dunban. Then seeing Fiora! awwwww she made my heart MELT. I'd fallen so in love with the cast of characters not even 40 mins in to watching my SISTER PLAY. In that moment i knew i had to try it for myself, so once everyone had fallen asleep I stole the gamecard from my sisters switch and played it handheld under my blanket that entire night, its safe to say, I WAS HOOKED!

Creation does not have to means the thing created was created meticulously. Think about it this way: and artist can create and art piece by just wildly painting as a way to express their emotions. This would still be considered creating something even though it's not a meticulously planned out creation. It's not uncommon for people with DID to "create" other personalities when faced with trauma, they aren't purposefully doing it but they are still creating something. I don't expressly see any Contradictions between what Mythra does in the Torna cutscene and what she says in the Chapter 4 cutscene. It's notable that there are other similarities to DID present in Pyra/Mythra. Notably that they share a lot of traits. Mythra is show to be capable of being considerate and kindhearted she wouldn't have been so affected by Milton's death if not so. She also has a passion for cooking even if she's bad at it. If you unlock all of Mythra's recipes her final recipe the Miracle Parfait is actually very good meaning that she also had the capacity to be a good cook like Pyra. Everything Pyra is comes from Mythra she just exists as a manifestation of what Mythra views as her ideal self, the version of her that overcame her "undesirable" traits. The traits she saw as responsible for the fall of Torna and the relentless criticism she faced during her adventure with Addam. It's also noteworthy that Rex is able to recognize parts of Pyra within Mythra and vice versa. It's overall very close to DID the only exception would be the memory sharing and the physical transformation she undergoes.

KOS-MOS was my 6th rare blade (out of 12 because I played casually.) And she made chapter 5 onward a joke. My two friends that've played it way more extensively said I hit the rng jackpot; one of them didn't get her till NG+. So in the back of my mind I always wondered if there was a bit more than luck to it.

First of all, they didn't talk about it until after the campaign and subsequent release. Second, as you mentioned before, none of the text was changed to its American dialect for localization. And finally, they originally said that there weren't going to be any plans to release it in the US (they'd have no reason to say this if they thought otherwise).

22:16 - Also, that shape is known as the Zohar, and it shows up in every Xeno game at some point. There's a well known rule in the Xeno franchise. If a character has something that looks like the Zohar, you'd better freaking pay attention to them. I also imagine that replacing Solomon's Key with the Zohar shape was a decision made to enable players to more easily connect Alvis to XC2.

Surprised to see you didn't talk about the real Xord being dead in your rematch with him after he fell into the ether mine. From what we know about face mechon, the reason the Monado can't cut them is because they're part human - that is, that they have a human piloting them, or maybe the Monado can't cut human bio parts, such as blood (which is what the red light from the face mechon's wires *could* be). So, since we're able to damage Xord like a normal mechon after he's fallen into the ether pool, either that means that the human Xord was disintegrated after falling into ether, or Xord lost all of his blood, and was going to die a painfully slow death had he not blown himself up.

Here's some very unknown insight about operation rainfall (Personal Experience): Back in 2011 or so, when Operation Rainfall was happening, there was videogame event in Mexico City called EGS. A friend of mine went and asked a Nintendo employee that attended the event why weren't they releasing Xenoblade in the Americas, and the employee said it was because Nintendo wanted to focus entirely on Zelda that season (Skyward Sword was about to release that November) and since Zelda is very popular in the continent, they were waiting until all that was done to go ahead with Xenoblade (And the other games) so that they didn't overshadow each other (Zelda AND the JRPG trio). Unsure if this is 100% fact, I do trust my friend but who knows if what the Nintendo employee said was true, it does make some sense, however.

I feel like this is overthinking the salt water thing. This video suggests that Reyn’s surprise at the saltwater means the water below the titans was freshwater and somehow changed to saltwater. But he didn’t live down there below the titans. He lived ON a Titan. He’s used to the lakes and rivers on the body of the Bionis itself. That’s what he’s comparing to. That’s where his fishing experience is. I don’t think it’s relevant at all whether the water below was once fresh and is not salty. This is just his first time in it at all and he’s surprised it’s salty when he’s used to fresh water lakes causes by a water cycle with clouds, rain, rivers etc. Now he’s in that sea for the first time and it’s a surprise to him. No big deal.

to the Xenoblade x song Memes FUNNILY enough the german community developed their own Memes/jokes around them. the english songs, while sometimes nonsensical in context, are at least UNDERSTANDABLE do ot the vocalist being able to prounounce them. The songs "wir fliegen" and "so nah so fern" are written ENTIRELY in german(a habit hiroyuki sawano cant get rid of, altough its rarely completly in german) BUT are butcherd so beyond believe that it was ACTUALY hard for native german speakers to figure out the lyrics till they released them officaly

To the IGN thing and you assuming that the one who writes a review is the one who voices it.. No, a Script writer, review Writer, Reviwer, and voice over person are distinct postions, Reviwer, review writer and script writer just often times overlap perfectly. BUT technicaly, the reviwer plays the game, makes notes and organizes them into a coherent structure, what was good what was bad etc. the Review writer then takes these notes and turns it into a presentable form. reviewer and review writer are most often the same person. the script writer then takes the review and adapts it for a video script, in IGNs case that is usualy just the actual review with maybe some notes on pronounciation or emphasis (obviously pronounciation wasnt part of the notes this time around seemingly) the voice over person then reads the script. what could have happend was that the voice over actor misspoke(or misread)and the persons who edited and QCed the Video either didnt catch it(do to stress could be a reasson, maybe it was very close to the deadline?) or didnt know the pronounciation themself, OR there was a mistake in the script, a typo from when it was adapated from review text to script text
