@@russellm2555 “illegal state election law changes”? Who decides they’re “illegal”? You or Donald? Or the State and their elected officials? States set their own election laws and regulations. You know, the whole “States’ rights” things that republicans claim to champion, except when they’re reminding everyone that Lincoln was a Republican, and unless the rights one state chooses to act on doesn’t result in what republicans want. Funny how conservatives are for less government until they want the use the government to make other states do things exactly how they want.

It's totally gross that people are comparing vaccine mandates to Jim Crow, the Holocaust, Apartheid, etc. You can't vaccinate your skin color away. You can't vaccinate your ethnic heritage or religious beliefs away. You can't call a vaccine mandate discrimination when it's something literally expected of everyone (barring certain age groups or medical conditions, but they're the ones who depend the most on everyone else getting vaccinated. They're the reason why vaccine mandates are so crucial. The exception literally does make the rule, in this case).

@@cerin59 The difference is that non beeing vaccinated risks the life of alive people/adults in your proximity, especially those that cannot be vaccinated. While abortion affects the life of not a single walking/crawling human who has any life experience or intelligence above instinct. Protecting existing humans that already exist is maybe a noble goal. Protecting the creation of one more in a world already flooded with us maybe not so much.

I 100% agree with your conclusion, but religious beliefs are a choice. You can decide which version of your religion you'll follow, and how devoutly, or you can decide that other beliefs make more sense. None of those decisions requires anything more than a mentality shift- they don't require a physical change in your body (like skin color or medical statuses do) or a change in scientific facts (like the changes we've had to navigate during the pandemic).

She actually said let’s go back to the 60’s. Well let’s talk about the 60’s. We had a president assassinated, we had two civil rights leaders assassinated. We had a presidential candidate assassinated. We got into a war in place we had absolutely no business being in. We had civil unrest throughout the country, and three civil rights workers murdered for just trying to get blacks registered to vote. Those are just a few things that made the 60’s one of the worse decades in the history of this country. Let’s not forget that Jim Crow was still the law in the south until 1965. So this is what she wants to go back to?

It's not taught well enough in schools (not in my experiance atleast). Students should learn and be tested on their ability to spot credible sources. I did not take a dedicated program like that untill I was in college. (I call it a program because it was only a month long thing but passing was required for graduation)

I give Jordan the utmost respect for this. I can't stand to talk to idiots for 5 minutes without accepting that they're lost causes and finding something more enjoyable to do, like skinning myself alive or allowing lions to eat me until I'm not alive. He straight up dealt with more morons in one year than I am comfortable admitting exist and he did it hilariously and without showing the fear that most in their right minds would feel, which is of course these psychos losing it and attacking him for having a functioning brain, zombie style. Never change, my guy. We need heroes now more than ever.

I'm a physician with a LOT of friends who are anti-vax and anti-mask. They will go off on you on social media, but when I speak to them on the phone or in person, they just hesitate and can't give any reasonable info.

My doctor had to put signs up around the office disclaiming that anyone who was physically or verbally abusive toward the staff would be escorted out of the office and potentially prosecuted. When I asked him about the signs he said, "We've had several incidents of patients become aggressive and unruly towards staff when we informed them that they tested positivie for COVID-19. They accused us of lying to them, spreading propraganda, etc. and a few of them got physical with staff, and we're very much over it." And my doctor is Conservative! I was just floored.

The whole police state/show your papers excuse falls flat given that we have to literally show papers at the airport, buying alcohol, traveling, enrolling in schools, medical facilities, parking lots, concerts, movie theaters, government buildings, some work places, etc. People don't seem too bothered by that, do they? 🤦🏾♀️

Seeing people making comparisons between the holocaust and the vaccinations, just because you have to show papers in some places is making me , as a German absolutely furious. Whenever I am in the states I always have to face that topic when talking about history and I am ok with that. But I am not ok if such a horrendous crime against humanity is beeing equaled with a shot you get in your arm from time to time .

Honestly? Watching all of these in a row is....a lot to take in. I'd already seen all these when they came out. But something about seeing it all together is supremely depressing. It is BEYOND obvious that these people are deeply _deeply_ psychologically unwell....and bringing the rest of us down with them. I hate that it's like this. It's pretty astonishing actually...
