Man... I’ve seen the core premise of this done a lot, but instead of having Yoshi killed, having him crippled and still desperately trying to help is so much crueler. I really appreciate that the cynicism of this show goes beyond just being “edgy” and strikes the chord of a very human sort of misery. Well done.

Holy fuck, this is one of the darkest Mario episodes yet.

When you think about it, both sides are pretty terrible. Bowser starting a war over wanting to get his --koopa kock wet-- Peach's delicious cake...maybe a mom for his son. Peach won't take action to resolve the issue either some sort of treaty, marriage, or just dethroning Bowser after all that's happened. It's like she ENJOYS all this (more fuel to why so many shipped Mario and Bowsette or even just Bowser). Mario has killed so much that it's almost 2nd nature to him, of course he's a psychopath. He's taken on ARMIES of all sorts of creatures. SMB3 he was up against tanks and airships! That expression is that of a man fully embracing the loss of his sanity to keep from being swallowed by PTSD.

I just realized that Yoshi is the ultimate simp.

Its always been interesting to me how that mechanic from Super Mario World was something the devs disliked about the game because of the image it gave.
