you've missed the scene where Albert saved her life and said she was irreplaceable and she replied that he was irreplaceable to her. That one is romantic too.

Sometimes, for some of us, that kind of love is made by the environment and circumstance. Victoria was surrounded by intrigue, deception, people wanting to use her for their own gain and a whole lot of pressure. Albert possessed the strengths she was missing and was willing to face her wrath with his honesty. Making him the only person she could ever truly trust by her side. At times I think the people surrounded them had every intention of creating that vacuum that formed the bond between them. Made for a stronger England.

The reality of their union was when Albert was alive all he did was wrong but in death all he ever did in life was right. She was definitely extra.

Definitely my favorite work on the modern British Royals. Makes the story of Charles lll and Camilla seem somehow ridiculous, self indulgent, self serving and rather shameful.
