Hi, I lived in Vermont for 20 years. Its an incredibly beautiful state. My bro in law had a '60 f 100. He let me drive it cause he had a brand new f 250 4 wheel drive. I detailed his '60 and cleaned it top to bottom. He finally relented and sold UT to me.not course in Vermont I never drive her from October till April, but I lived the truck much more tan my winter driver, A Jeep A- 20 all wheel drive,as I lived in mountains and worked 45 miles south in Essex junction and needed 4wheel drive to make the daily trek. But my heart was always with my bro in laws '60 F-100.

Beautifully done sir!! I’m currently rebuilding my 60 from the ground up back to the way it came from the factory. Certainly is something about slowing down and enjoying the ride and smelling the fresh country air. Thank you again

The first new vehicle my father purchased was a 1958 Ford F250 with a Custom Cab. Baby blue/white two tone paint job, a 292 v8 and 4 speed (w/compound low) on the floor. It was not only our farm truck but also our “family car” until 1964. I learned to drive (around our farmstead) in that truck. I loved that truck! My father, that truck, and the family farm have been gone since the mid-80’s. Thanks for the memories!

Growing up in Brazil in the late 70’s early 80’s my next door neighbour Mr. Nivaldo had this exactly same truck but in Brazil the ford trucks have different years models as the 56 panoramic windshield went all the way up to 1959 so I would only guess it would maybe still be 1960 but without 57-58-59 3rd Gen and I know the 3rd Gen were made in Brazil up to 1971 without 4th Gen never made in Brazil being replaced by the Bumpside 1970 model grille on 1971 until 1992 as the most loved pickup in Brazil , saying that due to this truck being part of my childhood and Mr. Nivaldo always driving grandma and I in it I still regard those as my most favourite truck ever , even I must confess in Australia 🇦🇺 I don’t see much of them and I am having one for sure in memory of Mr. Nivaldo, very nice looking truck , they do indeed look like an old Frigidaire I agree , and I must note that in Brazil they up graded the Twin-I-Beam chassis and suspension I believe in 1966 making them known in Brazil as the “ Twin-I-Beam” and a very ugly upgraded grille only made on Brazil but yes the 1960 is my all time favourite F-Truck together with the 67-72 Bumpside and 79 dentside. All the best from Adelaide south Australia 🇦🇺

I can't thank you enough for this video. I can so relate. I just found and purchases a 1960 Ford F100. I'm so enthralled with it. It has such a purest approach to every function. It didn't have locks in the doors, and when I figured out how easy it was and simple to install them, I became so much more impressed with all the simplistic functionality. I can't wait to go through the rest of the truck and the simplistic rides to follow. I just can't see a reason to spend 70K on new plastic and computers.

Beautiful fridge, and a great video overall. Well done! My 17 year old son just bought his first vehicle. It's a 1960 Ford, F-250, 4wd with a factory flatbed. It's got a few rust holes in the usual places, but it's solid, starts, runs, drives etc. Got it cheap from an old farmer in the area. My son is the second owner and it's been sitting since the late 90's. We just started working on it today, then I found this video. Thank you for this video, it reassured me that we're doing the right thing with his truck. I'm looking forward to more of your videos

You're hired as my new therapist. I tell myself the same stuff as I drive my fridge, but it's like hearing a brother comfort me in a difficult time, telling me I'm doing the right thing and everything is going to be OK. I have a '60 swb big back window, though it's nothing like your's. Your's is cherry! Mine is a patina'd beater. Your's has perfect chrome! Mine has a lot of chrome. Your's is relatively stock, but nicer than stock. Mine is built to resemble an old Kustom shop truck, with pinstriping on the dash, a tuck n roll seat and tuck n roll transmission cover, with white piping around the carpet edges. I think I'll even tuck n roll the visors. Your's has a three on the tree, mine has a granny gear 4 on the floor. Mine has a hot rod rake and gold wheels with wide whitewalls. But I like them both, and we're both very lucky, and we both feel the same way, like we really are making the world a better, happier place by driving our fridge. After all, it's all about the smiles to the gallon!

Hello Bobby. Since my younger years, I was always impressed by these pickup trucks. Series like Lassie or Flipper where the DAD always drives a pickup truck. A few years ago in 2015 I bought MY Ford F100 1959 in total black. This car is such special. When I started it for my first run ... I thought I'm not strong enough for that car. But I worked a lot on the stering wheel precision and on the completly used breaks. Each year we restore a part of the game and each year, when I start for the first run of the year, it waves me a smile on my face in less than 100m. People salute when I pass by .... kids love my ooga horn. Now I'm a grandpa and my little Louis 2,5 year love this car too as his father does. 3 crazy man in a deep black car riding just for fun. But tell me ... I never heard about this fridge thing .... Regards from Belgium upper east side

memories of my dad's 60 F100 panel truck, it was dark green with grille, bumpers and rims painted creamy white. A 6 cylinder with 3 on the tree and hydraulic clutch. The back seat was his old wooden tool box in back, with handles to hold on during turns. He let me drive it on a country road much like the one here. I wish I could remember driving it better but at the time I never imagined how cars would change. He bought it used in the mid 60s for $250. I watched him open the brown envelope and count out the bills to the car dealer. It was his daily driver for 10 years. It never left him stranded, always started every morning no matter how bitter cold. Finally the old girl succumbed to the salt on New Jersey roads.

Looks like a fine Ford truck. Add aftermarket A/C under the dash and you would have a cool "Fridge" to drive in the sweltering heat. Stick a 302 Boss under the hood and get loads of power. 3 on the tree was standard issue in that day. Ford did it!

I so enjoyed watching this video and hearing you describe the experience of driving a fridge. I recently completed building my fridge and have experienced so much of what you describe, when I drive it, especially the part of being a one vehicle parade and being part of the beauty of the world. I posted a series of videos of my build, kzfaq.info/sun/PLxgT6O0WhjnjrNK_F9t1rItrZfBQLvJjq, and want to do a few videos of me driving it. I am not tech savvy and I know I could never produce a video as nice as yours, but I'm wondering where you mounted your camera to get the shot of the whole dash and the view out the windshield? I would like to try to do something similar.
