God bless you and your channel. So many bits of random knowledge I never would've thought to look up or even known to look up

Love this channel. When you've been playing for many years (many, many years...) it's possible to get a little complacent about theory. This channel is doing an excellent job of helping me deal with that. Thanks and blessings.

The French - always flat and sharp at the same time. Apart from the humour it could be interpreted in C as a secondary dominant b5 - Ab7b5 = D7b5 and you can resolve away from that. While we're at it to end on a humourous note - the French don't resolve - they dissolve

Too late, everyone. I already wrote a song with this just now, and copyrighted it. No need to learn this, it's mine.

🙏 examples of creating a pre-chorus

This is the info I have gathered so far : Pre chorus is a part of a song that is before a chorus/Hook/catch it builds up tension so that your chorus is catchier To create A pre chorus Use less than four chords maby two to three for example you can hold on to to one chord that has a unstable Function. Sub/pre-dominent chords or a b/# signature chord ( e.g Diminished , sus , add and augmented ) to leave the listener wondering what's coming next

I absolutely love this channel. My only humble suggestion for improvement is the tone of the guitar examples; l find the tone grating and wonder if a warmer cleaner sound (rounding of those brittle corners) would be appreciated by others as well as myself. Best regards.

1 of the very few people who knows what theyre talking about on here! Maybe a tad theoretical for the sake of theory but nonetheless very informative. Thanks!

Thank you. I really don't like "theory for the sake of theory" - if I say it in the video, it's because it makes a difference in the music.

@@MusicTheoryForGuitar Ah ok.I stand corrected. No worries I suck at guitar!😢 Im guessing this is only for a chordal solo because certain melody and other players could make this chord sound "uncomfortable" to certain ears..and I say COULD?

Another great video! I’ve been studying classical chord progressions, and one that I’ve heard repeatedly is this which would be in a minor key : bVI, i 6/4, V/V 6/3, V, i As I mentioned, I have seen it repeatedly and I was wondering if it had a name?

I really appreciate these series on augmented 6 chords- super helpful. How would these chords appear in a lead sheet (not Roman numeral analysis?). Some are enharmonic to Diminished chords- how do they genetically relate to the key? Thanks!

Brilliant. Love theory through the lens of the guitar rather than what we are so used to , by the piano. TY from Australia. 1. Have U looked at Stanley Jordan's new chromatic improvisation theories? He promoted it on Muriel Anderson's KZfaq program, last week. 2. Have you done a video on Quartal harmony?

Nicely done. I'd say it's very well presented and audibly clear, however, it rushes through the changes and options: Not much time to listen and learn.
