百里基地のウエストランウェイは外柵から約50mの近さにあります。東側滑走路端の補修工事の為 F-2戦闘機はウエストランウェイを使って離着陸を行いました。
首都圏防空の要、第3飛行隊 F-2戦闘機は真夏の美しい緑の中飛行任務に励んでいます。
The west runway of Hyakuri Air Base is about 50m from the outer fence. F-2 fighters took off and landed on the west runway due to repair work on the east runway end.
The 3rd Squadron F-2 fighters, the cornerstone of the metropolitan air defense, are working hard on flight missions in the beautiful greenery of midsummer.

小松R/WのFOD清掃の際、F-4の離陸を10m位の所で味わった記憶が有ります。嬉しさ倍増の中、迫り来る機体の速さと爆音にただ呆れていたのを思い出しました。有難う御座いました◎

爆音って言いますが、もうすでに音という概念を通り越して爆発的な空気の振動ですね。自分の肺の中の空気が共鳴して振動しているのがわかります。イヤーマフ無しではかなり鼓膜に悪そうです（笑

コックピット下の赤い逆三角形ですね。機体のコーション、私が見たことがあるのは展示機のものばかりですが、平易で簡潔で明解な表記はそれが故に何か強く感じさせられるものがありますね。西側滑走路の映像、素晴らしいです。舞い降りた F-2を追うカメラの映像は、まるで自分がそこで首を振って目で追っているかのようです。

With the clear canopy, it makes me wonder how hot it must get in the Cockpit when the pilots are flying on a hot sunny day. I know they have A/C in the Cockpit. But without some sort of tinting like the F-22 / F-35 and the F-15's. It just seems like it would be really uncomfortable.

二人乗りが一人乗りになり、操縦桿がフライバイワイヤ式のサイドスティックになり、世代が変わり、基地司令が変わり、時代が変わったのでしょうか。でもフェンス際で僕たちは手を振り、気がついたパイロット達も手を振りかえしてくれる。それは変わりません。

Hello, i am travelling to Ibakari next week, where is the best place near the base to photograph the F-2?

flyteam.jp/airport/ibaraki-airport/map There are many shooting points. You need a car to get around. An approximately 7-feet fence surrounds the base. This fence is equipped with a sensor, so do not touch it. Have a nice trip.

There is no flight training on Saturdays and Sundays. September 18th is a public holiday in Japan, so there will be no flight training. On Mondays and Tuesdays, there is a possibility of takeoff at sunset. Takeoff takes place two to three times a day, and the times are not set.
