As a Cubs fan, that Bartman play was horrible. Most likely that catch would've won that game with a chance at the World Series. At that time, just getting to the WS would've been awesome. The world series in 2016 changed all that. I played SS at Southern Miss and Ole Miss whooped us. Don't hate Ole Miss but pulling for the Hogs. Good luck tomorrow and hopefully on to the final!

Tougher play for the second baseman. He called for it first but the rightfielder had time to call him off and make the play. He should've taken charge. @@skip6978

@chuckwest7045 2nd baseman came sprinting in only to be in the way and distracting the other 2 who had easier plays on the ball. 1st baseman stopped because he felt the 2nd baseman behind him. And the right fielder was distracted by looking at the 2nd baseman instead of the ball...So again: 2nd basemans fault.

@@skip6978 I don't know if the 1st baseman had an easier play but the right fielder certainly did. Why didn't he call the second baseman off? Doesn't the outfielder always take priority in that situation? I know they do in the local little leagues. Maybe Van Horn had a policy that whoever calls a fly ball first takes it and everyone else get out of the way. It's almost as though the right fielder didn't want to make the play but maybe he wasn't allowed to. Either way it's a shame. Those chances don't come around very often. If Arkansas had won the 2019 national championship the SEC would've had six straight national titles over the last six seasons by six different programs.

@@chuckwest7045 I know and even now I still can’t believe how so much went our way. On a side note I still believe Van Horn at Arkansas is the best coach in the SEC. He has been snake bitten too many times. He will get there. But year to year he has been awesome. If we can’t do it again then I hope Arkansas does win it all. Dave is a good man and Arkansas is a top program.
