This was never about the hostages it was about vengeance & political gains. If it was about hostages they would have made prisoners exchanges and targeted attacks on Hamas. But they just wanted to destroy Gaza make it unliveable. hostages were sacrificed for netenyahu political career. 13000+ children dead because netenyahu didn’t want to lose the elections

Caleb, I think you may have too many irons in the fire. You’re a great guy. I appreciate what you’re doing and I love the house but if youtube is your income source, you probably need to dedicate more time to it. I’m disappointed every week to see not much of anything you’re going to continue to lose subscribers. You have to focus on this if this is your income source.

@jeffc609 quality work takes time, and it's winter in St. Louis. Not every day will have gigantic leaps in progress during winter months, and building materials are very expensive right now! Remember how he is doing work for others to trade or barter skills and work for the house? It wouldn't be relevant to see their projects during his project.

I absolutely love that your carpenter is teaching his daughter his trade. My dad was a joiner and house builder/refurber and I’d spend hours on site with him trying to get him to teach me. His colleagues would laugh about it and then bring their kids on site for me to babysit. I begged him for years to teach me his trade but it “wasn’t suitable work for a girl”. Now I find myself watching KZfaq videos and slowly building up my tool supply. I live in a small rented apartment so I can’t really do any work here, but maybe one day when I get more confidence and time I will. Who knows. My dad was always disappointed he didn’t have a son to pass on the family business. He had a daughter desperate to learn but that wasn’t enough.
@ptqt25sussex5
@ptqt25sussex5 3 ай бұрын
Yes I know that feeling. My dad did in the end prefer me as as his workmate because I always tidied up as we went along or at the end of the day. I always picked his tools off the floor so he loved coming into a clean space the next day. I wouldn’t know the names of the tools but I kinda knew which one he meant in the end we had a secret language eg get the huger a flip or thingy me bob and I would know what he meant. And yes I fell for the left handle screw driver. One time he made a mistake he told me to cut 3 inches off the end of the wood for the roof wood and then go to the other end and cut a triangle off. I was doing this at midday in hot sun while he went to collect some supplies. The roofers stopped for lunch and were laughing at me. I said haven’t you seen a girl cut wood before and carried on following my dads instructions to the letter, getting hot and pissed they were laughing. Then the foreman came down and tried to show me my dads instructions were wrong. I wouldn’t believe my dad was wrong. I carried on working hard doing two cuts per wood and then slowly realising the roofer was right, if I measured in 3 inches then cut the triangle it was one saw cut not two per piece of wood. I was fuming. My dad was embarrassed when the foreman told him. I was cross I followed him blindly because he was Dad. I guess it was a great lesson in life to think for myself, get advice but sometimes don’t follow it!

I’m sorry that you experienced that situation with your dad. Fortunately, times have changed. There’s an increasing respect for those with building skills & more & more women getting trained & working in the trades. I hope that you get the opportunity to learn a trade & do what you always wanted to do🤞🍀👍🏻🇨🇦

Kaleb, don’t let those “Nervous Nellies” derail your sense of accomplishment. You have done a bang up job at a reasonable pace. Some people have an unrealistic expectation on how much one person can accomplish when you take into consideration materials you have to wait for, the cost of same and the necessity to await others who are helping while dealing with their schedules. All in all I think you’re pretty well on target. Of course we all would love a video every day or week but I don’t think that’s realistic…so I’ll be patient from PA. ❤️

Omg. I never knew the woodworking machines were Mr. Brown's. That is beautiful and actually brought tears to my eyes. To know that his house, that he once took pride in, and ended up in ruin, is being restored using his own machines is just amazing. I can't even tell you what watching this restoration does for my soul. As a lifelong St. Louisan, I hate seeing all these beautiful houses destroyed. It makes me proud to see you save one!

I think season 3 had the most progress so far. And season 4 is going to have so much more progress. You have finally gotten to the point where the building is mostly stabilized and everything that needed to be updated has. The exterior work has come a long way and it’s not going to be super long before that too gets mostly finished. I think once that exterior is finished the work will really begin to come along. It’s great seeing you take your time to do it all the right way. I hope to take the same journey you have one day. This channel helps me learn so that when the day comes where I have my own historical home I can do it right too. I’m excited to see what season 4 has to bring.

I just bought a row house in Philadelphia from 1875. Unfortunately there is nothing original and the house itself was always a small shack. It would have probably housed workers from a toy factory Nextdoor that closed in the 30s. There’s nothing to restore in it, but I hope to renovate it into a beautiful Victorian inspired home that is livable and comfortable and can stand for another 100 years. Your videos are giving me lots of information and inspiration on the period!

WOW! Just wow. I too have been here and subscribed since the beginning. As everyone {so far} has said you and kim have made so much progress. so much of it that isn't seen, but is so necessary. The plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc. Along with all the structural work on the foundation, and the dormer rebuild. I remember you guys rebuilding the brick work that was pulling away from the house and was ready to collapse. {season 1} I so much love the way you are stripping the 100 plus years of paint down to the bare wood. THAT'S the difference between "lipstick on a pig" and RESTORATION!

Removing all the paint from the cornice reveals all its detail. It is so highly detailed. The paint colors you selected are gorgeous. My faves to do, were I young and fit, would be the paint stripping (nothing is more satisfying!) and the repointing. I have never seen repointing done before, so yeah, gimme a trowel and I am good to go! The stone walls look so gorgeous all repointed and sealed. GREAT JOB! Just the amount of building detritus to get rid of boggles the mind. Geez, Kaleb -- no namby pamby shower for this THIS house. No sirree! Gorgeous!! A needle shower. Absolutely drop dead gorgeous. You sure did a lot in season three!! It is going to be a wonderful home.

Keep that shower looking as good as it did day one by using a nice large towel to dry the surface every single day. Removes minerals that cloud the tile and moisture that grows mold in every nook and cranny. Run a fan with a timer to finish drying the shower. We run ours 1 hour every day. We have a perfect looking shower after 17 years. We also have an exhaust fan required by code, but not very effective over time. You did a wonderful job.

Seeing the old photo of the facade of Mr. Brown’s house, in its heyday, reminded me that there was another man in his adventure. Mr. Hall. Seeing just the edge of Mr. Hall’s house brought it all back to me. A poignant reminder that not all old houses find the right person to love and restore them, in time, so they don’t become lost and forgotten in the faded memories of yesteryear. What you are doing will bring both their histories to the fore and what they achieved together. You’re a great man Kaleb and I hope that you will be remembered and praised for what you are doing. I can’t wait for season 4. Both you and Kim deserve a rest, and maybe there’ll be a pair of ‘little feet’ walking the halls of Mr. Brown’s house in the future. ❤❤

Happiest moment on my first viewing of the restoration was when I saw the St. Louis Arch in the background.. "It's here in my own 'backyard! I can drive by and see it in person."

That shower is an absolute work of art! Very Victorian. 👏 Like Sherlock Holmes or Dr. Jekyll just stepped out. In my opinion one should renovate in such way to make it look like has been that way al along.

I was so excited watching you match the tile in the shower to the existing tile on the floor. I love that you used the existing shower tubes as well!! It's just gorgeous 🤩

It’s truly amazing how much you’ve accomplished in a years time. The Charles S. Brown house is becoming the home n house he had created over a 100 years ago. He’s looking down with a twinkle in his eye n probably with a tear at how proud he is of you to love n care for the house he made. I noticed that you didn’t cheat on any details. You were very thorough n made sure everything was correct n in its time. I’m so proud of you of you Caleb at what you have achieved. I’m as excited as you are for this coming year. I can tell how much I’ve enjoyed watching your channel. You deserve much recognition for restoring Mr. Brown’s house. We love you n Kim 🥰. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️😊👍👍👍👏👏👏🌟

Love all the progress you have made and can't wait to see the front completed. Would love to see her crown back but I know that is years away if ever. On a side note that photo of Mr Brown looks like you.

I saw the first video,and now this, is so Amazing, especially the old timer machines ... So cool , hope you will be open for tours one day. All I kept thinking, is how this house loves the restoration its getting to bring it back to its former glory. Houses like this still had good bones, & story's to tell as it's beauty is restored

I bought a Dutch Colonial Revival, built in the 1940s, in 2020 and within the first week, sewer was backing up into the utility sink in the basement. I had to get the sewer main replaced including some work inside to attach to it. 100 ft trench and PVC all the way to the city sewer line and thousands of dollars later it all works perfectly. Odd curve balls are expected when buying old homes, but that was unexpected!!
