It is such a darn shame how little is taught about Africa in schools. I learned more about Uganda and this region in just a few minutes than I did in my entire life. For example one thing in particular which caught my attention, I’ve always known since childhood as it is true for most of us, about the Nile River and associated it only with Egypt but yet no connection has ever been made with Uganda. The only time any mention has been made that I remember was in the news about Iddi Amin.

I went to school with a friend whose family is from Uganda, we went for 3 weeks and visited Entebbe, Kampala, Jinja, and got to spend time with lots of amazing people in the process.
