Welcome to the first ever Gulf Air Flight Report on KZfaq! This Flight Report was recorded by myself. I was headed for Saudi Arabia and I decided to go Via Bahrain with Gulf Air as it was a sensible option. I didn't actually think I'd fly this year but I guess I got lucky. Anyway enjoy this video. lovely video and it bought back memories I use to be a cabin crew with gulf air and gulf air back then gave very good service n plenty to eat, Bahrain is a lovely place . oh the good times, thanks for the video.

Another great flight report man! I think Gulf air is a great product!, I gotta say ife is the same as the Thomas Cook airline group, air Berlin all have the same system as gulf air and i believe they are limited too! Seats looks nice and comfy, I'd love to try them one days I do love the crew uniform with them! Can't wait for next review man!

The retrofit A330 looks really classy. i enjoyed the video very much. My last flight on Gulf Air was in 2011 (Bahrain - Cairo). Hope i get a chance to travel soon on GF.

Wow! A lot of memories attached with Gulf Air. I remember around 8-10 years back we use to travel to Delhi by Gulf air A330 from Muscat. That aircraft was used for the London-Bahrain-Muscat-Delhi route until the Omani government completely divested from Gulf Air in 2006, and Gulf Air thereafter was wholly owned by Bahrain. I really enjoyed watching this flight review! :) TheAirlineAviation

Saif Khan The Omani and the Emirati(Abu Dhabi) disinvested from Gulf Air..Gulf air was very dominant in the Gulf before the advent of Emirates and Qatar airways.

Ace video bro. keep them coming!!! I travel with Gulf every few years years or so Bahrain being the final stop. Recently went in December 2013 and the inbound flight was with this same aircraft ending in KB. The livery remains the same somewhat, however the interior seems to have improved significantly. The seats albeit I am not too sure about the 'plastiky' feel and look, Last time i went the cabin was OK, the seats were comfortable as it was a normal fabric based seat. In particular for a long haul flight, were the seats comfortable??? Lastly, the food remains great with Gulf, and i agree they do indeed need to step up a notch with their customer service regarding customer interaction and communication. as a little small talk always adds extra value to your safe travels. Keep up with the fantastic videos! P.S. Hope to see some more videos, forget PIA bro, they're a waste of time. I shall travel with them once they become Privatised Insha'Allah. I Keep it with Emirates to go LHE/KHI every year from B'ham airport. Never regret Emirates over the past 18 years. Wasalam.

in august 1993 i flew from Amsterdam to Manila,Philippines with Gulf air,stop-overs in Frankfurt,Bahrein,Muscat-Oman,and then Manila On the way back,3 weeks later, Manila to Amsterdam: stopovers: Oman,Bahrein,London-Amsterdam. Nowadays i fly with Cathay Pacific,1 stopover in Hong Kong.

oh yes, in fact it's one of the safest countries in the middle east. I have to warn you though that the best time to visit is from november til the end of april since it gets very hot and humid after that.

In 1988 I flew Gulf Air to Hong Kong, although it was like a bus route, LHR, Frankfurt, Bahrain, BKK, HKG, it was an extremely pleasant flight up to the BKK - HKG sector. It looks like Gulf air economy is still pretty good. Thanks for sharing.

TheAirlineAviation. Did you visit Saudi Arabia, to perform Umrah or was it just family holiday? I might be going Pakistan, this year for Bari Eid. EK, is expensive this time as EY and QR are cheap.. But my dad, wants to travel with Turkish Airlines, to stop at Isatanbul for 2-3 days then go Pakistan.

Yeah I went and did Umrah. If you fly THY you'll fly an A330 To Pakistan instead of 737's.

Asad Sattar You call Gulf Air on the telephone before the flight (I called them two months before) and I looked at a seating map and asked them to reserve the seat for me

I was gonna plan to fly Gulf Air from Dubai to Bahrain then Bahrain to London and transit there until we got a British or Irish flight to Chicago O'hare but my family changed plans and Choose Emirates instead! Planned route:DXB-BAH/BAH-LHR/LHR-ORD or LHR-DUB(Dublin)-ORD

amir pro I was going to Saudi Arabia and the most reasonable fares were with MEA, Gulf Air or Royal Jordanian so I chose Gulf Air as I was interested in how the airline would be like

***** Well with PIA I will always prefer them and will support them but this time I wasn't headed to Pakistan. But I think Gulf Air still needs to improve more in order to catch up with Etihad

TheAirlineAviation Yes, based on my own experience. I don't know why, maybe they don't like people transited in their country (I'm on my way to Istanbul at that time, they just yell at us if we are late to the counter).
