Majority of people commenting don't know how the prison system works, most long term prisoners who go to a category D open prison are on the verge of being released, yes he absconded but that's similar to not coming back from home leave, the good thing for Danny gee , is he never committed a crime while he was out, he'll probably end up in a closed prison and lose 60 days, but he'll still be out within 6 to 12 months, remember he's done his time.

Some people put them on a pedestal for being “hard”, personally, I just avoid a lot of them because they have no sense of consequences. A “normal” person wouldn’t stab someone over a minor slight, they’d give consideration to the fact they’ll be locked up for a long time. This sort of person won’t, that makes them very dangerous, but in a very sad way, they should really be pitied, or at least, their younger self, the one who suffered the abuse, should be.🤔
