Never been to AX but only at Japan Expo in France, the largest European Anime Convention for 10 years straight each since 2013. There's always been quite a jokey rivalry between AX & JE considering it happened almost at the same time in July, though since COVID it kinda diverged. I'm sorry but you simply cannot claim AX is "the World's biggest Anime Convention" considering this year absolute fiasco. Or was it clickbait? It might be accurate to say that AX is more famous than JE but still... I'm not saying JE is the best between the 2 or should be the biggest/best Anime Convention outside Japan. It wasn't perfect. We also had our share of nightmares. But I gotta say with 255 087 visitors, capped attendance for each day & tickets, mainly better crowd management at arrival with different lines, quite decent signage... AX def shows what Anime Conventions should not look like. Anime conventions have always SNAFU anyway. There's always room for improvements for next times for both conventions. I would love to go to AX someday. I'm really envious of the stuff you have over there. I hope next year you guys will have better moments!
