Yes, I remember catching this on MTV at the time, one of the best neo-glam rock acts of the entire decade (the main MTV video was a different one, in black and white - this is from TOTP isn't it? - but the absence of colour did nothing to dminish the power of the song).

Any other era and they would be one of the best selling bands of all time. Unfortunately for them they came out around the same time as bands like The Smiths, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, Whitesnake etc etc and pretty much got lost in the shuffle.

Lil Devil - has a short and very quick guitar lick as it's basic hook. Over and over. Where as - Rain - has a long, slower and more sustained hook as its base sound. Do you get it now?

The 80's had the hair bands and new wave, they were kinda in the middle. They got no airplay in Detroit rock stations as they were more inclined to play Motley Crue, Cinderella, GnR..etc..There was one alternative station that played them but it was a low end station. I grew up in Canada and they were big on Much Music, so I got to see these videos many time. When Sonic Temple came out, they finally got the air play they deserved but unfortunately it petered out from there. They should be proud with the collection of hits they made.

The Cult always got me up on my feet dancing at the lake, playing the songs so loud. The whole community got to enjoy. Amazing band.

The dancers are the Anadin Bros, two female, former synchronized swimmers. I believe they were discovered by Siouxie of Siouxie and the Banshees.

Karen Zane I was 35. MY girlfriend 17. SHe gave me their album for my birthday. I was hooked. Would listen to them to pump me up to go running when i did not feel like it in minus 25-30 degrees....

Billy Duffy is such a talented musician and Ian is just awesome with everything he does, too! ❤. The whole group meshes well together! Most people don't think about the talents and brains it takes to actually put all the instruments together and make it sound great! But when you have that kind of talent and skills,it just works out I guess. I'm in awe of how any group can do that! I love dancing to the drums, and the guitars, and just get lost in all of it in my own head!

Saw them live in the early nineties. Could feel that bass in my liver and lost a couple octaves of hearing from the guitar that night. They were AWESOME!!!
