People saying Keefe not stupid is ridiculous. The man got immunity under Los Angeles laws but then moved Vegas wheee the crime was committed. My understanding is that the whole reason why Keefe D went public back in 2013/2014 was because he had gotten a terminal cancer diagnosis and thought he didn't have long to live. Maybe he needed the money from the interviews or maybe he just wanted to confess before he went to the great beyond. But from what his book said, they were able to put the cancer into remission and he's lasted far longer than the doctors expected.

I questioned the same thing. Honestly I believe the purpose of the raid was to gather evidence to prove he has told stories that conflict with what he said during the proffer session. In the 2002 documentary ”Biggie & Tupac”, the documentarian Nick Broomfield has a picture of Eugene (Big Gene) Deal and Diddy. A picture taken when they arrived to or left that Vibe Magazine party in LA, the night BIG got killed. Nick Broomfield in the documentary, calls the man who took that picture, on the phone. They find out that, that man was working for the FBI. What was he doing at the scene taking pictures? If the feds were at the scene when BIG got killed, that means they must’ve been at the scene when Pac got killed too. So how come the killers didn’t get caught in both cases when the feds were even at the scenes when the shootings took place? The FBI orchastrated these hits, with crooked Compton & LA cops, or else both killers would’ve been caught and even caught at the scene of the crimes, since FBI were present during both assassinations

I think its a mind thing for Keefe. He sees himself as being "important" because of what he did. If you look at most serial killers, they keep things (trophys) as reminders of what they did so they can relive the experience. The biggest drawback to keeping something like that is that usually it's also the heaviest evidence that ends up leading to their demise. Gacy kept graduation rings. I dont see see it that farfetched that if he did pull the trigger, he also kept some shell casings. Not smart idea, though.

Unless he says they are the ones from that murder, it's gonna be a tough one to sell and prove in court that they are the ones. But I agree keeping shell casings isn't a smart idea especially if it's known 1) you're a gang member, 2) you're connected to the killings of 2pac with multiple statements from one's self and present at biggies as well. 3) you're a felon so a restricted person to own firearms
