There is a video with proof confirming indeed it was that same date, October 18th. Faith on her memoir wanted to confuse people that was not the date they met. They were still hanging out by November of 1995, a month before she falsely accused Tupac of sexually harassing her. Her former husband even caught her cheating and posted a live of her, she’s always been a cheater and liar it seems
