Great series, my great uncle was at Pearl Harbor on the Detroit when the Japanese attacked. My other great uncle was at Guadalcanal and Philippines, my grandfather Omaha beach, and Battle of the Bulge and other great uncle’s fought in Europe. One was wounded in both knees by a German machine gun and was crippled for life! Thank you all to my family members and those who served especially those who payed the ultimate sacrifice

All those that serve past, present and the future deserve a debt of thanks that can really never be paid in full. We can try to do as much as possible and unless but their service and their losing blood and guts and then coming home to a Nation of People that in some cases rejected them and their service, I sorry for the Service Personnel that must face people who have their freedom because of those that served. Someone had to pick up the torch and do what had to be done. I didn’t serve in the military, but served 33 years as a LEO (Law Enforcement Officer). In some ways, LEOs and other First Responders can say they too have a different level of service to their community and when called, back up their fellow brothers and sisters to Serve & Protect. Not to retreat, but do what must be done! As time passes by, we seem to lose our memories of and forget to soon what happened in a community not to far and not too long away!!! TAKE THE OPPORTUNITY TO VIEW THE WAR DOCUMENTARIES BEFORE THEY ARE WIPED AWAY!!! THANKS AGAIN TO ALL WHO SERVED ON ALL SIDES. Yes, in a lot of cases, Horrible Things were done, probably on our side as well. It is WAR and it is not kind. In some situations it was KILL OR BE KILLED!!! You have but an instant to react. Friendly Fire does occur and you don’t get do overs you don’t respawn!!!

My dad was a LCVP Driver in the Pacific during WW2. He never talked about it. Only have a Pic of him Dec 1946 in Okinawa!!!

Yes, it's actually historically offensive but most here won't ever read a book so I guess we should be happy they're learning the gist. What makes me mad is the myths around Hitler. He wasn't a genius. He just took advantage of the horrible state Germany was in after the US market crash and had access to a pre-existing Germany intelligencia that existed long before Dietrich Eckart founded the party.
