Excellent, Mr R. I like the design too. Sounds like this speaker covers many bases. I’ve just bought some Lintons which also recommend keeping grilles on. But suspect they aren’t so detailed.

Just throwing this out there in case you read it. I purchased the Deco Audio Curbe Standard Phono stage. You had mentioned them I believe in a past video of yours awhile back. Im using it with the Musical Fidelity A1 as I found that Phono stage fine for general use, but ultimately lacking. The Deco unit was a great purchase wqs approx $1150 CAD to me. Thanks for pointing me there way. Speaking to Peter over there was great, and gave me confidence I was at the right place.

My first speakers were leek 600s , along with a leek stereo 30 amp . Happy memories as it was the start of my hifi journey .

I remember the Leak 3000 series speakers in the early 80's, they were highly thought of and seemed everywhere (I remember the local record shop used them). Always liked Leak.

Knowing Peter Comeau's designs (Linton 85, Denton 85), these Sandwich 150s are likely to have a more accurate frequency response with their grilles on. Of course, the main reason for the grilles is to help the speakers against baffle edge diffraction.

Had a chance to briefly listened to the 150 at a local dealer a month ago, they sound pretty good. Lively, tight bass, crispy but not harsh. I don't think they were run-in yet.

Will they B as fine as the Original Leaks and the Mini Sandwich around 1962..they will have to b good.. The originals were given the seal of approval by the classic Harold Leak

Can you please help, I have a Rega Aethos amp, ProAc DT8 speakers,Audiolab 9000cdt transport, Audiolab M-DAC plus. With Chord signature interconnects between cdt and DAC and fact to amp. What would you recommend as DAC upgrade option would you recommend under £2,000. Regards Mark

You don't need to spend anywhere need that much for a great DAC. Topping and SMSL have some great DACs for half that amount and less. If you look around at their options you'll find a good one.
