Kingsville & Leamington, Ontario | Lake Erie Wineries 2020

In this video we explored around Kingsville and Leamington, Ontario, Canada for an morning of sightseeing and early afternoon of winery visits. The Lake Erie North Shore is the southernmost appellation of wineries in Ontario.
We made stops at:
- Point Pelee National Park
- Hillman Marsh Conservation Area
- Lake Erie Beach
- Mastronardi Estates Winery
- Aleksander Estates Winery

It's great that despite it not working out how you'd hoped you still found plenty to do and took advantage of just having to wing it a little. It's really cool the conservation area worked on trust. I wish more places in the world did - maybe we'd grow in compassion and trustworthiness as a whole. Beautiful places.

Yeah we had to wing it but it turned out ok in the end. Yeah I was surprised about the conservation area - we actually went to another one this weekend that was the same! Oh Canada :)

We all know how it is if you travel and things you wanted to visit are closed. But you never know what the day will bring and it might be that you will see or do even more interesting things as you did. The winery looks beautiful. And open wineries are always a good things.

These wineries in Lake Erie look so beautiful and lush :) The wine tasting with the cheese board look so absolutely delicious. So glad you were able to do a bit of sight seeing despite the bad weather.

We are also heavy sleepers, always sleep through storms (except recent hurricanes😅) shame stuff got closed as a result but at least you got to walk around in nature and didn’t get rained on!😊 also you found wine for $7.50 for 4 flights, amazing!🍷😋 like Welch’s grape juice!🤣

@@TideKnotTravellers Yes our days have not been going according to plan, so I've been learning to go with the flow a bit more. We didn't hear the storm at all, so I guess that was good for our sleeps! The wineries definitely helped turn the day back around. 😂

We love your love of wine! Shame that so many things are closed and that it was so gloomy but the winery is a fab Plan B. It looks like you found some lovely natural views despite the storm too which is nice. Happy the sun finally came out once you arrived at Lake Erie Wineries. lol "that's not a gun shot - I think that scared me more then the birds" haha awww I would be the same :) Enjoyed this video. Sorry your trip to Canada wasn't all what you had planned but still looked like you two had a nice time all and all.

So many plans have been changed this year but I think everyone who tries to plan anything is in the same boat... thanks 2020! lol. Haha yeah that canon was loud and definitely startled me the first few times. As long as there's food and drinks available, we are fine 😂

I love how you guys just go with the flow even if your plan doesn't work out! That's the way to go. Also, it's interesting how the parking fee there went on an honor system, I know many people might take advantage of that haha (but maybe not??). That snack platter in the end (i'm not sure how to spell it) looks so good! And those wines, yumm. My boyfriend and I love trying wines so this looks like a cool place to go.

This year we've been trying to be more flexible since so many things are closed and rules keep changing. The park fee was so funny - we were at another park this weekend that did the same thing. We really liked the snacks and the wine 😍

I very much enjoy visiting wineries! You heard a gunshot? That would have scared me too. I like drinking dry wine, not a fan of sweet wine! This was a really nice winery tour, thanks guys!

Wineries are so nice and relaxing. No thankfully it was just the canon sound to scare the birds but it sounds similar. Agree with you on the dry wines :)

Sorry the day didn't turn out as planned. Looks like the windy and stormy lake. Glad it cleared up for your hike and the winery. That seems like a great price for the tasting of 4 wines.

Hey guys! Things not working out just continues to be the theme of 2020! Sorry to see you couldn't visit the park due to the storm At least you found wine! I would like the one that tastes like alcoholic grape juice 😆 (we dont drink wine much if you cant tell!)

I know!! 2020 is teaching me to be a bit more spontaneous, and I LOVE to plan things so this is a hard lesson for me 😂 The park was one of the main reasons we went to the area, so we will have to go back in nicer weather. Ha, we probably drink too much wine, but eating and drinking seems to be the only things to do around here these days!

Yes some ares of Canada have lock downs in effect. Here in Ontario, Toronto and some surrounding areas are back in a modified lock down. Hope you're staying safe as well!

Great video guys:) That good faith system would not work here, because the homeless would be helping themselves:(. Difficult these days to find good places to visit w so much closed, hopefully things will change soon! Safe travels !!

This location was quite remote so I think it was an interesting concept. We actually saw it at another park we visited this weekend. Yeah a lot is closed so plans constantly change. Thanks for watching!
