D-DAY | World War II (WW2)
On 6 June 1944, the U.S. Army's 116th Infantry Regiment of the 29th Infantry Division, along with the 5th Ranger Battalion, and A, B, and C Companies of the 2nd Ranger Battalion landed on Dog Green, Dog White, Dog Red, and Easy Green sectors of Omaha Beach, below Vierville-sur-Mer, starting at 6.30 am.

My dad landed on omaha beach the morning of june 6th, d-day. I noticed the monument for the 6th engineers special brigade. My dad was part of that brigade. He was in the 147th combat engineers. He was in the coast guard LCI US 91. It hit a mine as it neared the beach, then it was pummeled by german 88's. He finally made it on shore and eventually scaled the cliff. He passed 4-1-13. Not a day goes by that i don't miss him & my mom. They were part of the greatest generation.

Nicht nur unter dem historischen Gesichtspunkt sehr empfehlenswert im sonnigen Juni vor den Ferien in F. Das kleine Hotel du Casino am endlosen Strand bei Ebbe bietet nette Zimmer mit tollem Ausblick und beachtliches Essen.
