Indeed! Just like all other recent airports in China (see Kunming as an other example), China has changed the way an airport looks from downright ugly to pieces of art! Bij having Zaha Hadid and her team do the design of this new airport for Beijing they've put the bar even higher for the rest of the world! I always love to go the China because their airports are so much more beautifull and efficient.

It’s actually not Zaha Hadid’s design. The design of the terminal is based on the plan of French planner ADP Ingénierie, although they incorporated some features of Hadid’s plan into the final design. However, I actually preferred the original draft proposed by ADP. They had a super futuristic underground terminal design but got rejected because it was too unorthodox.

@Calm Patience I think it's not west who think China in negative way,it's only USA,I find that many European countries want to cooperate with China and they all really glad to accept China even we shared two different political ideas.but they must behave unfriendly to China because USA doesn't like us.China is developing fast but that weaken the position of USA in the world. only USA want to rule the world all the time.

China is growing fast and fearlessly, many small economies should take lessons from China and grow quickly instead of handing power and control to West

Perhaps we should worry about climate change, instead of pursuing the model of "infinite growth" did you know China builds 1 new coal fired power plant every week! How much CO2 does that release. If we all listen to Chinese bots like you then we'll all be dead by 2100.

Meanwhile in Germany... BER airport is undergoing tests to evaluate if the current opening date scheduled is EVEN SOMEWHAT REALISTIC after having been postponed multiple times and by multiple YEARS already. Yeah, we germans know how to make a plan and deliver on it!

That's because in the UK things are done properly. You need 11 city council workers to dig a hole. One person to work the shovel, one to point at the hole and 9 keep watch. Don't you know?

Even though its a neighbour from ancient times, I never had the fortune to visit China. But my cousin married a Chinese lady; and I feel somehow connected to Chinese people. Watching such movies in youtube, I think China is making good progress and I wish best for the great country.
