I typed "marianna cross" into google and it knew exactly what I was looking for...if you have any lyrics and can make out a single line (doesn't even need to be accurate) you can easily find any song. It's a real issue when there's no lyrics at all...there's a song I found after more than 10 years by coincidence. If only the people who steal the art had the slight decency to at least credit the source, let alone put the name of the art-piece they steal into the description

I will never understand the huge hate towards this band.. Yeah, they are not heavy, but that doesn't mean, they are bad. They sounds like old rock and that's why I love about them!

What isn't understood is that the band is a progressive fusion metal band. They are telling a story. This isn't something new. The Who did a Rock Opera called Tommy and KISS tried to do a rock opera called "Songs from The Elder" Tobias has just spread his story telling across the entire career of Ghost. Also those of you who don't remember this album are clearly suffering from the Mandela Effect.

Its because they got super popular and all of the elitist don't like that I guess. I saw ghost twice, once 4 years ago in a small venue and once last year in a sold out large venue. Guess they're doing something right , right lol.

The difference between the first chorus and the last one is subtle, but so so deeply heartbreaking, I don't know if it is the instrumental or the voice, but the last "Mary on a cross" sounds so much more dramatic and it is beautiful, I live for it

Interestingly, to a certain extent, anti-christianism can also fit, which is one of the reasons this took off in the first place if i remember correctly.

I'm glad for any attention this great band gets, been a fan since the debut and love the band so of course i'm just happy for any traffic / new fans they get. I say that as a person who's mostly seen cancerous stuff from TikTok that has leaked over to YT.. never really used the app so i don't know shit tho:) Naturally there's good content creators on there if one looks for the gems that is hidden by endless braindead creations, that's how anyone with sense uses any content platform.

The first time I heard the intro (without seeing the video/title) I thought this was the song COF (Nymphétamine) in another version, but it turns out it's not. After playing it several times, listening to the live version, guitar cover, piano cover, bass cover, and even various theories about the meaning of each lyric. In the end, this became the first band and song that I liked as a whole with its various components. The title, the lyrics, the guitar riff, the bassline, the drums, the keyboard synthesizer, the vocal character, the highs and lows, the sequence, and the most epic part is the backing vocals in the last part.
