Since you can't understand a simple joke let me explain it to you in the prespective of someone who doesn't take KZfaq comments seriously, who also started league 2 months ago: When people think of "challenger" they think of someone that is always serious, doesn't troll, doesn't "feed" (ik he doesn't but does at the same time) and doesn't make any mistakes and that if you try watching him you will never be able to understand what he is cooking until years of practice, or months, depends. Then, you find out that there is a challenger like Bausf, who trolls, ints, PvEs more than PvPs, and says funny quotes all the times. which obviously does it for the views as off-stream I'm pretty sure he is a very different person. Which is why people like him and watch him, he's not your average challenger that takes the game very seriously, he is chill and his playstyle is very entertaining and easy to understand, which in my opinion makes him the most entertaining league of legends content creator. ⁠@@Ojja78 He got carried as a 1/9 Rammus. Usually I’m on baus’s side of things but this game didn’t help his case. He gains nothing repeatedly dying as Rammus, and yet kept dying. I have no idea why him and Irelia didn’t just lane swap. He could’ve been much more effective in mid or bot actually facing an auto attacking champion. Instead they ended up with a 13/6 late game ASol with hundreds of stacks. I don’t think there’s a way of defending him here except for saying he won, which really isn’t an argument. Before Baus’s era, a 1/9 Rammus would be banned the next day. While I do enjoy his play style most of the time, inting is inting.

A critical comment you missed is that Baus consistently has more deaths than any high elo player. Like almost incomparably higher.

Trolling/griefing is literally running it down mid. People exaggerated everything so much now that being 1/5 is now "absolutely trolling" and every little misplay is "total griefing". Fact is, the only actual trolling is when you want to lose and don't play the game. There's also no rules to this game, everyone is just playing what people figured out was the best strategy 10 years ago and you're "trolling" if you don't play that exact way.

I mean, while you're not wrong, he tries his sion strategy on literally every champ he plays. Are we really surprised his lowest winrate champ is irellia with more death than sion? It doesn't take a statistician to know that it is conducive in losing more games.

Are you seriously going to pretend that his "off stream" account with tank sion(almost no ad sion btw), gragas and quin games only, being a significantly higher rank(challenger) than his "on stream" accounts which are master/grandmaster is not due to him trolling?. He couldnt get out of Diamon when he almost exclusively played AP irelia on Babus (one of his accounts), I guess that was just a coincidence and not him trolling right.

I didn't miss that, it's just that it is not relevant to the question whether baus is trolling or not. his high average level of deaths, statistically speaking, has not been proven to have a negative impact on his win rate.

A good death is one that enables your team or you gain a substantial advantage despite being punished. The thing is, Sion rewards dying precisely because of the monster he is early in his passive and I feel like, from a mid-gold scrub pov, Baus applies Sion logic to champs like Rammus, which can work because of the time it takes to kill that motherf*cker, less so on Irelia or Gragas. There's a reason we're told to die as little as possible when we're learning the game. Not because they're inherently bad, but because it requires a special kind of macro knowledge that cannot really be taught through a tutorial, especially in a videogame where every game can be widely different. Good deaths are conditional, but you can't learn what those conditions are if you're consistently dead. When you're alive, you can do things and gray screens are the consequence of those things, not the other way around. You can't just rush Hullbreaker and AFK farm expecting your team to play around your lane state. As much as I enjoy watching Baus, he's far from being an example of "standard playing". I genuinely think he can smurf off-stream, but he's just having fun at this point and that's what matters and what a lot of players seem to forget : this game is designed to have fun, not be miserable

The entire analysis falls apart when you take 30 seconds to think about it and realize that losses are always going to have more deaths than wins because if your team is losing, the enemy team is stronger than you and it’s easier for you to die.

Yea the conclusions are very weird. Like how can you even say that past a certain death threshold is trolling? If you would do the same analysis on any league player you would find the same trend of more deaths = less winrate. The games with more deaths were just less favourable outcomes of the same strategy

​@@skya6863 also, deaths arent a great way of tracking "trolling". I view trolling as contributing far less to your team than to the enemy team. In many cases games that are lost with a high amount of deaths, the player dying the most is fighting the most, while a player with little or no deaths is not contributing to any fights, etc.

@@ANNO_UNDERCOVER just not true. midbeast made off stream baus game analysis as rumours came up about bosch drill being him, and he plays the same way, with same strategy. its the streamer debuff, he is less focused because he also interacts with the twitch chat, explains stuff and so on. those are important time windows where he could track enemy jgler, look minimap etc.

@@jacobp8294 yes, theres also another issue. lets say that usually less deaths=good game, more deaths=bad game. but looking at his strategy, theres also a fair amount of games where more deaths=good game. ofc the statistics will show that when he stomps already and doesnt need to int for good defs, he has high winrate. but the games where he dies alot, but still wins, get pulled down by the losses where his strat didnt work. so u cant just look at deaths and winrates to say if hes trolling.

yeah cuz that was the intent. They deleted him cuz barely anybody could use his passive well, so they changed it and rebuild his kit to more fit current game design and acomodate METAs.

as a malz main, i can tell you that malz Q is pretty great into Asol Q lol, your passive shield blocks damage for just enough time for you to walk up and Q/E, or Q/E/W/R if kill pressure is on
