It is false that a wire splice cannot be completely sealed from the elements. It absolutely can be through various methods.

This is the kind of kid who act like I was copying off his test but always I had the highest score. Yes this is “by the book” but repairs done the right way, can be just as new. I am an engineer by degeee.

I have a 2002 Mercedes silver arrow in the shop the customer drove untill the tire wrapped around the rear right axle. since less that 2000 were made not even Mercedes can help us.

My wires were bad i clean off the oil and will insulate them and reattach

The gold plated Wire to the connector too the abs The gold plated wire coming out of the wiring harness is missing I need a video showing where it goes to tie into in the wiring harness to be able to hook it back into my BS for a 2014 Toyota Camry

Hi Randy- I am not exactly sure what you are asking, but can tell you that you would need to reference the Toyota service information for an accurate wiring diagram and repair procedure for your specific vehicle. If you are experiencing issues with wheel speed sensor wiring, it can lead to safety issues, so we always recommend taking your vehicle to a trusted repair shop to ensure any issues are safely resolved.

solder liquid tape and heat shrink works juuuuuuuuuuuuust fine, especially if that dumb little sensor is 80 bucks a wheel, I wouldn't try this on an AWD of course, but some older rig why the hell not.

its well and good to replace the cable. The 2015 Ford Focus Ecoboost [vin: WF04XXGCCFE07929] 🙄has a cable that ha no intermediate connectors. It is directly wired to the ECU cables and the only way to replace the accident damaged senor is to cut and rejoin the cables... then what? Help!

Hi Edwin- I ran this by our product tech team. What we recommend in this situation is to bring this vehicle to a trusted repair shop to ensure it is repaired properly. It is very difficult to properly and permanently repair the wheel speed sensor wiring. Signal loss from repaired wiring can cause issues with ABS, stability control, and other systems, which can lead to further safety issues.

Sensor connector broke from removing bearing, can I just splice the wires together?

We do not recommend splicing the wires for the wheel speed sensor.

If you are connecting new wheel speed sensor wiring to the existing vehicle wiring harness, it needs to be professionally soldered into the wiring harness, and then meter tested to ensure the proper signal is being transmitted from the wheel speed sensor to the vehicle ECU/ECM. If the signal received from the wheel speed sensor is not correct, it can interfere with the function of the ABS, stability control, etc, which can be a safety issue. We recommend that this type of repair is done by someone with professional experience in soldering and circuit testing.

My wiring became damaged on the body side of the connection, how do I go about fixing that?

Hi Anthony- If any part of the wiring on the body side of the wheel speed sensor connector is damaged, we recommend the replacement of that entire piece of the wiring harness. It is very difficult to properly and permanently repair the wiring, and the chances of causing additional issues, such as corrosion and signal loss, are high and could even cause a safety issue down the line.

@@BCABearings Thanks for the response! I was thinking I'd have to do that, I'm just having a hard time trying to find out how to do that since the harness eventually goes into the body of the car and can't be seen.
