I caught a ride to A&M after high school in 1971, to join the Corps. My buddy was a hippie, and he had shoulder-length red hair. When the barber gave him his fish cut.... he came out looking just like his deceased father, and he wept. with sadness for what had passed, and with expectation for his fish year to come. He and I made it all four years through the Corps, boots and everything. Gig 'em, Ags.

About a year or two back, I went to the barbershop to get a haircut. My girlfriend Anna came 'cause she never went into a barbershop before. When we got there, I saw my barber: Tom, who finished up a client recently and was ready to take me in. I asked for a buzz-cut. After I was finished, my girlfriend told me me she was going for a haircut! I was surprised, but I don't judge. Tom agreed and asked what she wanted. She said a military-style crewcut! I said that it's her call. Tom went to work and Anna looked the whole time. After she was finished, she smiled. When we exited the barbershop, I asked her why she did it. She wanted a change, and a change she got!

I'd like to have mine cut that short all over the top and have the back and sides razor shaved up high and smooth. I'd pay someone who could give me the haircut I would really like to have.
