Man I'm a DC nigga but I was born in Manhattan & lived in Brooklyn until 4 or 5. Visiting throughout my childhood & seeing NYC in the 80's is something you had to just see for yourself. Everything about NYC was live. Only boroughs I ain't see was Queens & Staten but going to the Bronx was ill, please believe the Bronx was all the way live! Everything about it, Spanish & us both live & hype & busy, a lot of traffic!!! A lot of spontaneous ghetto wildness. Brooklyn was live too but a different kind of live. It wasn't as crowded as Bronx but it still had that wild, rowdy NYC vibe, this is Bedstuy in the 80's a lot of people close to us & family was getting killed & AIDS was taking off & drugs was taking over something crazy & not just crack!!! That herione will never budge in the hood even when crack go out of style & K2 come heroine still around like a undisputed champion not looking for props. But when it came to Harlem!!!!! Man all the movies are real!!!!! I remember seeing niggaz at night outside deep packed like it's daylight shining sitting on expensive cars like Benz xyz, females flocking everybody sparkling & shining this still in the 90's. & up Bronx zoo it was no gates or fences or anything & leopards are just right there, like real live big cats right there no fences or gates but who remembers that? Am I lying about the Bronx zoo? Let it be known!
