American Dad has a more traditional plot structure as opposed to Family Guy which relies chiefly on cut away gags - amazing how many different voices Seth MacFarlane does.

American Dad needs more context on the jokes. It's not like Family guy with cut always and such. So unless you get the context, these jokes are confusing. But it's a hilarious show when you watch them.

This show got much funnier as it aged. It is a bit more difficult to enjoy clips of it because a lot of it's jokes require actual... setup. But watch the Principal Lewis compilation. I consider it a mandatory piece of Americana.

Definitely agreed, while I do agree that the show is quite random (though not in the same way as Family Guy) like they said several times, most of the stuff makes a lot more sense with the setup/context while also being funnier.

Good stuff here. I live in Mexico, and some of our appliances have the name brand "mabe." It's pronounced "MAH-BAY," but I can't help but see it and think to myself, "Maybe baby." All thanks to American Dad.

Try King of the Hill it's actually a pretty realistic depiction of small town, middle class American life you guys would learn a lot from it about American culture.

"American Dad" from the creators of Family Guy. Stan Smith, Roger, and others are played by both FG & AD creator, Seth MacFarlane. Seth's sister, Rachel, plays Haley.

Since these are just clips and not even the complete jokes, it's going to seem random due to the lack of context. American Dad and Family Guy are family sitcoms that share an art style, but that's where the similarities end.

I prefer Roger of American Dad and Brian and Stewie of Family Guy. I prefer American Dad, but the Dad’s big jawed super Americanness made it hard for me to start watching from the beginning. I calmed down once I realized it’s the same pattern where the dad is the idiot and everything works out in the end

This video isn't a good example of American Dad but it can explain why American Dad is better but less popular than Family Guy. The biggest difference is American Dad is very character focused and the episodes have complex plots and layered jokes. Family Guy is funnier to just watch random clips from but American Dad is better if you watch whole episodes or seasons.

It's not as random as Family Guy the context of all these jokes make them way better. This compilation isn't the best for people who haven't seen the show. I used to put Family Guy above American Dad but now I'd say American Dad is far better. The characters in American Dad are better written and allow a wider range of plotlines. Most of the characters in Family Guy have kind of reached their mileage limit.

If you are into cartoon comedy shows, South Park was pretty funny too, and maybe beavis and butthead, but they are a little older and slower paced.

Family Guy is about random cutaway gags. American Dad is about random Roger personality gags. Between the two, I'd say American Dad is definitely funnier. Probably not as popular though.

American dad is superior to family guy. It's character comedy over cheap pop culture references and cutaways. American dad has a narrative, character growth, etc. Seth MacFarlane does not write for American dad. But you can't watch American dad without context

Well this video already gonna dislike and you haven't even started reacting to anything yet! This kind of stuff always gets a copyright well no ******* **** Sherlock yes I get the copyright that's how the creators show ownership in their product! Don't you know the damn difference between a copyright and a block a copyright means somebody created something and they copyrighted it they show that they own it and no one can steal it it's not what KZfaq does to your reaction videos. It's what somebody does get a copyright on their creation show nobody can steal it to prove they own it. On the other hand a video of yours might get blocked that doesn't mean you ******* put it on Patreon it means you wait the average of 72 hours for the block to expire because blocks on KZfaq are not permanent!
