Emotional cheating is worse because sure they can go and mess around like if its for work but you know that they love you. If you lose them emotionally, sure you can be with them, but whats the point without that extra something. Looks fade, personality is forever.

Deal with your own guilt if you're emotional cheating. What can the other person do with it? Same goes for a one time physical cheat.

In an emotional affair, a spouse will completely emotionally abandon their spouse because all of their emotions are wrapped up in that person they are having the emotional affair with. So if you have sex with your spouse, there are no feelings involved on their end. Anything you try to do as a family there are no feelings on their end. There's also no appreciation for your spouse for anything they do from cooking a meal to being there for them at the hospital.
