I like to think Zipper is a human. You dont ever see any other humans and maybe he hides in that costume to be like everyone else: an animal. Even in his RV where people unwind and relax he wears it. Maybe he wants to become a bunny and his excuse is "I can be the bunny for easter!"

To support the "Zipper is human" Theory, Cherry lives on my island in new horizons and is pretty keen on noticing things more than other villagers. After interacting with zipper, cherry often says the line "Do you have a twin or something? I swear I just saw someone that looked like you over there." With a spooked expression. She says it often. Another, less likely theory. Zipper is a ghost. This explains his ability to hide all the eggs without being seen. Cherry has a fear of ghosts, and a fear of zipper. Connection?

I personally think Zipper is your imaginary friend. In new horizons, he tells you not to tell anyone about him, yet villagers can walk by him and act like he's not there. And when you go away, he sighs out of relief and just walks around like a normal villager would. Let’s use some background knowledge. Most kids tend to make their imaginary friends the embodiment of “perfection”. So we made Zipper all happy and jolly, but when you go away he acts normal because he doesn’t have to please you because you are somewhere else. I also believe that if you unzip his costume, you will finally wake up. There’s nothing inside. You finally realize that he was just an imaginary friend, and that he isn’t real. And the eggs and stuff are him just trying to make you happy. But, of course, this most likely isn’t true. I’m only going off of New Horizons events.

I think Zipper is your mom or dad, and they're making easter fun for you. As you said, The game revolves around you, not the villagers, and they don't want you getting upset by seeing it's really just them in a costume.

I've always thought that Zipper was one of the player's parents. Like, they think the player still believes in the Easter Bunny, and so they come to the player's town every year to keep the facade up. The reason they always complain is because both them and the player are getting too old for it. Or, at least thats how I try not to feel creeped out when Zipper calls me "special" for finding eggs, etc.

Zipper is an unknown special character. This character is depressed and exhausted. They love Easter, though, and are so sad that they're too old to see the Easter bunny anymore.

Zipper is the two nook kids on top of each other, they hate their job because they want to go play instead and they are kid so they are energetic aka they jump and simce they are on top of each other they are unstable so it makes sense tbh

The identity is still unknown. However in this new horizons we can see that if you keep a distance from Zipper he shows fatigue and possibly even melancholy. My theory is Zipper T is another character forced to wear the costume on Easter by Tom Nook to pay off their debt and bring attention to the island in this case. Tom Nook is actually not a raccoon, but a Tanuki which in legend are said to be mischievous and use LEAVES to shapeshift...

It's possible Zipper's "birthday" is for the character he's dressing up as. His real name is probably not Zipper, it really belongs to the Easter Bunny persona he puts on. A candidate you didn't mention was Rover, who, though you can see him on Easter, is only ever on the train. Also, one piece of evidence that wasn't pointed out in either video (that I recall) was that Zipper stops dancing if you're far enough away. He just kinda stands there with his head drooping. It's really creepy.

i like to believe that Zipper is actually your characters dad. this is because whenever we receive letters they're always from our mom not dad. meaning that the dad doesn't really interact with us. this is why I think that he comes in as a furry (zipper) to check up on us. Of course he still doesn't want to "ruin the magic" so he wont let us look at the zipper. Basically him coming in for Bunny Day is just his way of seeing what we're up too.

I like to think that he’s a normal human, just like us. no one really know where he came from, he’s.. just a human? he wears the bunny costume and tries to fit in with the animal society, even though he never REALLY can. Basically, trying to fit in with the rest of the animal crossing society. He’s all of us.

So in New Leaf, there’s this weird magic lamp. Inside lives a ghost, and when you talk to him, he asks you to scan an amibo card so he can walk around in an actual body. I like to think the lamp ghost is possessing the Zipper suit.

Another theory: Zipper is one of the fluff characters, I don’t know much about it because I only play New Horizons but I have seen a fluff, toy kind of character. Maybe the zipper just holds all his fluff in. He is probably just his own character.

If Zipper is a person in costume, their Birthday would be irrelevant. Imagine Zipper as a Mascot (or something along the lines of that) and the creators of said mascot gave him details such as name, age, date of birth etc. Would the character/person inside that costume really have to have the same age and date of birth as the mascot?

I just watched the “is Tom nook evil?” Video and I think it may have a link to phillis and zipper. As we all know, phillis and zipper both hate their jobs and talk quite a lot about it under their breath or just out loud. Tom nook lost everything but built himself up and got all the money he lost back, so maybe if phillis is zipper, maybe phillis is trying to get extra money for something. I have animal crossing city folk, and I went on in the middle of the night and tortimer was there but phillis wasn’t. Which brings me to the next part of the theory. This is where the able sisters come in, they have had quite a troubled past because their parents died and sable had to look after her two younger sisters. As phillis looks quite middle aged, maybe she has children of her own, and she could be struggling and taking on two jobs so that she look after her children at night and leave tortimer looking after the town hall. maybe she is dressing up as a bunny to make Easter happy for them and the town. She also might be dressing up as a bunny because she can’t afford anything else to get for her children. And that could be why zipper and phillis look so alike because they are the same animal just ones in a costume. We could also take to another extreme and say that zipper is dressing up as phillis until Easter rolls around and he takes the costume off. Even though you see a zip on zippers costume, it may be because he or she doesn’t want the player to know the truth. That’s just my theory’s but feel free to reply and say what you think of them or if you disagree :)

You forgot that not everyone writes dates the same: march 11th (3/11) could also be read as november the third->look up the animal with that birthday: Snake, a bunny, with ZIPPER clothes.

In case you make a part 3, here's my theory: there is another human in animal crossing who was supposed to be the mayor. But then he didn't arrive at the town for some reason and you ended up as the mayor. So he made a bunny costume and now he comes to your town every Easter in disguise to make sure you're doing a good job.

Maybe Zipper is a real bunny, but previously before maybe he had gotten into some kind of danger that maybe damaged his fur and skin. So since he fits in the costume perfectly, he hides in the costume to hide the fact that he is self conscious about the accident, maybe with fire. Sorta like how Darth vader hid his damaged skin.

What about Resettis brother? Think about it, he has a bit height to him, seems to panic a bit when certain things happen, and seems to be annoyed when he has to come in place of Resetti. Zipper is the Villagers height, seems to panic the first few times you check the zipper, and gets annoyed after a bit of time. I know this is pretty flawed, but it's just a theory.

I like this video so much! I agree with your points on both discussion and that some things might be better off unknown. In Zipper's case, I'd be just as happy never knowing as getting a definitive answer from Nintendo. Good job and great video!

Zipper has gotta be some kind of spirit because of his supernatural abilities. He buries hundreds of eggs, sets them free in the sky, hides them in trees, the lakes, ocean, ect. Maybe he’s some kind of creature that can’t leave his costume because it would literally “ruin the magic”. Like if the player found at who he was, he wouldn’t be able to do magic anymore. I’m thinking he might be some kind of Lloid.

The people at animal crossing probably just got us on a whole entire craze over this for no reason, watch them pull an “animal crossing move” and zipper is only wearing a costume of himself... But with Bunny Day coming up in New Horizons, this old theory may be brought back into play.

Okay, so I was playing animal crossing and traded a "rare ticket" that was in some of the eggs and I got a picture of him. When clicking on it it says "Zippers Picture. ...Huh? There's a message written in small letters on the back of the photograph... *Born on March 11th Pisces* favorite saying is.. Hippety-hoppity wish-wash-woah!" Is pisces a character? I'm not sure.. Edit: just looked it up.. Pisces isn't character.. It's a zodiac sign.. I can be stupid sometimes... and realized this stuff was already covered in the videos.. soooo... I'm leaving this here and let's just say I acted smart for 3 seconds.

Zipper T. Bunny is... Waluigi. I mean, actually it does make sense. The devs snuck Waluigi into other games via the “Nabbit is Waluigi” theory. Wouldn’t be surprised if this was the sneaky devs pulling one over us again.

(I'm really late I know) So I just thought that maybe Zipper t. bunny's birthday is just the day that he was created maybe as a mascotte? Think about it. Zipper is a bunny that represents Easter, so a Mascotte. I like to think that Zipper T. bunny is just a human that had the idea of creating an Easter Mascotte since Easter didn't have a Mascotte like all the other holidays in the game. (I mean, Blanca is more like a troublemaker than a Mascotte.) So this dude decided to create a Mascotte for Easter. He created the costume, and gave him the name "Zipper T. Bunny". And the day he created the Mascotte was in fact March 11th. Lots of Mascottes or even cartooon/books/films characters have a birthday based on the day they were created, so it wouldn't be strange. So I onestly think that we can't say who Zipper T. Bunny is by just looking at his birthday.

It is interesting that Zipper and Hopkins share a birthday and also both happen to be animals which could be suits; Zipper is a zipped mascot costume, and Hopkins could be a blow up style, much like an inflatable sumo suit. Hmmm What if zipper is your characters older brother. Think about it, in his first appearance your character is just a child right? But you can go straight to zippers uh... Zipper. Why would a child do that? Well maybe it's his brother and the villager knows that. Like that's what the villagers brother would have done before the villager moved. So being a little kid and seeing the players big bro came to town as a dancing bunny he may want to say hi. This would especially make sense with how he treats the villager when you talk to his zipper. He generally snaps at the player and acts a way that doesn't seem like the Easter Bunny. Especially to someone you just meet. It would possibly get you in trouble if it made the player cry or upset. But the player doesn't, cause it's his brother. If two brothers snap at each other usually one of them doesn't cry vs some random guy in a suit. Infact the villager kinda just smiles through it all and bearly expresses anything. Cause your character is a weirdo, think about it. In animal crossing for the game cube where do they go after another player is playing. That's right, they are off doing meth. The same meth I think Tom nook is on, think about it. What respectable shop owner attempts to sell a house to a child. I personally wouldn't. But he does, and you technically don't ever have to pay for it. The man has to be smoking meth, but zipper isn't, cause he's actually not real. Think about it. Does anyone talk to zipper when the player isn't around. Exactly, no one does. Cause the whole village is full of assholes who want a child to pay off a house, why. Cause zipper is the players brother who will hang himself while smoking meth with Tom nook. I rest my case.

In new horizons, the player gets a prize if they make all of the bunny day themed crafts. Maybe the prize could have something to do with the true identity of Zipper!

I think Zipper is not wearing a "fursuit", he is a yellow bunny wearing a costume (a hat and an overall) and he does not want us to pull down his zipper because he is afraid we will see his Easter eggs....
